He returned. He did return, breaking free from hell, but… was he too late?

This hadn't been part of Kael's plan when he realized he was going to die. He thought he had taken away all their problems with him, but now it seemed like he had brought a bigger pain, a painful death to them all.

When Jacquelyn's wings fell, the demon stepped back, staring at Kael as if it wanted to see what he would do. The icebreaker was his hand on Jacquelyn's chest, aiming at the spot where she was marked.

And it happened. For a moment, the world held its breath. It felt like it was about to sink.

"We have to do something," Luxan said to the Devil as they watched everything from a distance.

The Devil shook her head. "No… I want to see him again. I want to see what he could become, and I want him to see it too. Let him be my son."
