Chapter Eight: Gratitude over dinner.

kang min jun sat at a cozy, dimly lit restaurant, surrounded by his closest friends. The chatter of other patrons and the clinking of cutlery created a warm, lively atmosphere. He looked around the table, feeling a deep sense of gratitude for the people who had always been there for him.

'Thank you all for coming, min jun began , raising his glass. His friends quieted down, turning their attention to him. 'I wanted to gather us here tonight to thank you all for your great assistance and support. '

His bestfriend, joon ho, grinned and clapped him on the back. 'Come on, min jun, you know we're always here for you.'

Mi Rae, his oldest friend from university, smiled warmly. 'We wouldn't be anywhere else. It's been amazing to see you so happy recently. '

Min jun's mind drifted to the picnic and the drive home with soo jeon. 'It's because of you guys that I've been able to focus on important things,he said. 'Your advice, your encouragement- it means the world to me.'

The waiter arrived with their meals, and as they began to eat, the conversation flowed easily. They shared stories from their past, laughed about old times, and discussed their plans for the future.

'So, how are things with soo jeon?' Joon ho asked , raising an eyebrow.

Min jun felt a warmth spread through him at the mention of her name. 'It's going really well. We had an amazing time at the picnic, and she's... she's really special.

Mi Rae leaned in, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "We need details! How did the picnic go? What did you talk about? "

Min jun chuckled, recounting the days events- the laughter, the shared stories, the comfortable silences. His friends listened intently, their expressions, a mix of joy and teasing amusement.

As the evening progressed, min jun realised how lucky he was to have such supportive friends. They had been there through thick and thin, and their unwavering support had given him the strength to pursue his relationship of soo jeon.

When the dinner came to an end, min jun stood up, raising his glass once more. "To friendship " he toasted. " And to the people who make our lives brighter ".

"To friendship? " his friends echoed, clinking their glasses together.

As they left the restaurant, min jun felt a renewed sense of purpose. With his friends by his side and soo jeon in his life, he knew that whatever challenges lay ahead , he wouldn't face them alone.
