The Children

Lyneth spent the morning cleaning the house from top to bottom. She was determined to make a good impression on Mrs. Santos and the rest of the family. As she worked, she couldn't help but think about Analyn, and how proud she would be of her mother's new job.

Just as Lyneth was finishing up the living room, she heard the sound of children's laughter coming from the playroom. She smiled, feeling a sense of excitement. She had been told that Mrs. Santos had two children, a boy and a girl, and Lyneth was eager to meet them.

As she walked into the playroom, Lyneth was greeted by two bright faces. The boy, who looked to be around 8 years old, was building a Lego castle, while the girl, who was a few years younger, was playing with a doll.

"Hello," Lyneth said, smiling. "My name is Lyneth. I'm the new housekeeper."

The boy looked up, his eyes curious. "I'm Juan," he said. "And this is my sister, Sophia."

Lyneth smiled, feeling a sense of warmth. "It's nice to meet you both," she said. "What are you doing today?"

Juan held up his Lego castle. "I'm building a castle for my sister's doll," he said proudly.

Sophia giggled, hugging her doll tightly. "I love my doll," she said.

Lyneth smiled, feeling a sense of nostalgia. She had played with dolls when she was a child, and it brought back happy memories.

As the morning wore on, Lyneth helped the children with their activities. She played a game of Lego with Juan, and had a tea party with Sophia. The children were sweet and well-behaved, and Lyneth found herself enjoying their company.

At lunchtime, Mrs. Santos called Lyneth into the kitchen. "I want you to cook lunch for the children," she said. "They like simple food, like sandwiches and fruit."

Lyneth nodded, feeling a sense of confidence. She had cooked for Analyn many times, and she was sure she could cook for the Santos children.

As she prepared lunch, Lyneth couldn't help but think about Analyn. She wished her daughter could meet the Santos children, and play with them. Maybe one day, she thought, Analyn could come to the house and play with Juan and Sophia.

As she served lunch to the children, Lyneth felt a sense of pride. She was doing a good job, and the children seemed to be enjoying her company.

After lunch, Lyneth helped the children with their homework, and then took them out to the garden to play. As the day drew to a close, Lyneth felt exhausted but happy. She had enjoyed her first day as a housekeeper, and she was looking forward to many more days with the Santos family.
