Creating a new spell

Kai's eyes widened, suddenly he could see strange inscriptions and runes all around the doll.

If he focused on any rune he was able to somehow know it's functions, it wasn't being explained to him, he just knew.

The doll's sword erupted into flames once more and it swung at Kai with full force, Kai didn't move an inch, instead he continued to study the spell.

The sword crashed into his body and sent him flying, burning off parts of his arm.

"Oh my God, does he want to get himself killed?" A girl said while pointing at Kai's arm.

'What is that boy doing?' Lady Fairmont thought, Kai and Zack were the only two still fighting with the doll, the rest had been defeated.

Kai's eyes stayed fixed on the Mana core of the doll, Mana would flow out of it like a thin line and then connect to several runes, causing the sword to ignite into flames.

Kai smiled on seeing this, he stretched out his arm and he could see the Mana flowing out from his core and connecting to runes in his body.

A fireball shot out of Kai's hand, heading straight for the doll, who quickly blocked using it's sword.

"Why don't we try this again?" Kai said, charging towards the doll.

He wasn't a fool and he knew if he just used another fireball, the doll would block so he needed to get in close.

"Woah, did he just use a fire ball?" Another person in the crowd said, for someone bound to a dead god, Kai was sure impressive.

The only people they knew who could conjure flame attacks were those bound to Hephaestus and Hades.

Kai dodged the doll's sword, giving him an opening to strike the mana core, thanks to eyes of Shadius, he already knew what move it would make before it even made it.

Kai unleashed a barrage of fireballs on the doll's mana core, frying it instantly and causing the doll to shut down.

Meanwhile, Zach was still locked in a heavy battle against his own doll.

He put both his hands together, sending a lightning bolt towards the doll.

The doll evaded the bolt by sliding under it and arrived before Zach who was already waiting for it.

Zach swiped his sword, clashing with that of the doll and causing multiple sparks and flames to fly everywhere.

"I have got you now." Kai said and he let go of his sword, using both his hands to fire lightning bolts, causing the doll to combust instantly.

The doll's internal wood fibers had completely exploded and before their eyes it had been completely evaporated.

The attack was much stronger than Kai's, a huge chunk was still left of Kai's doll but for the Zach, the doll had been completely evaporated.

"Show off." Kai said with a smile on his face, he walked towards Zach who had a proud smile on his face.

"Oh please, like you didn't just shoot fireballs out of your hands the previous minute." Zach said, despite being locked in a fighting he was still monitoring Kai's.

"We all know Zeus is the strongest." Kai said, shaking Zach, the two of them were basically the same person.

They were both orphans, poor and originally not from Zurbluris, they had everything similar, hobbies, training and even down to their birth date.

The only difference between them was their skin color and their names.

"Where were you man?" Kai said, he hadn't seen Zach during the ritual that bound them to their gods.

"Oh, I was in the neighboring village, I performed the ritual there." Kai said honestly and Lady Fairmont interrupted their reunion.

"Well, these two have completely destroyed the initiative of what I was about to teach you all today." Lady Fairmont said, she was planning to go over the importance of martial arts but they had shown the importance of elemental attacks.

'Not only did he use a spell not belonging to his god, his wounds have also healed?' Lady Fairmont asked herself,Kai was an extremely suspicious figure.

"However, just because a person has powerful elemental attacks doesn't mean they are the most powerful." Lady Fairmont said, piquing everyone's interest.

"What if they suddenly run out of mana? They would be completely defenseless if they didn't know anything about martial arts and that would be their deaths." Lady Fairmont continued.

This was why martial arts was a core topic even for the support type mages, magical attack was mostly used as a last resort attack, martial arts was more encouraged.

Lady Fairmont went over the importance of martial arts and even thought the class a few moves before dismissing them.

The skies had darkened a little and everyone was on their way home, Kai and Zach were engaged in a conversation about how much they missed their technology.

"Bro, we can't even watch TV anymore."Zach said, ironically Kai had been watching a T.V show when the a portal suddenly opened before him.

The thought had soured his mood but he couldn't dwell on that for long.

"So you two think you're some kind of hotshotd huh?" Nathan said, and several boys appeared beside him.

Each one ready to start a fight and even go as far as killing the two of them.

They had been embarrassed before Lady Fairmont and that was the last thing they would take.

Nathan had a crush on Lady Fairmont and after what Kai had done to him, he had no chance with her anymore and he would make sure to repay the favor.

"What do you mean?" Zach asked and his sword had already began glowing blue.

"You two took up all of Lady Fairmont's attention, you must pay." Kai said.
