Chapter Eight

I wiped my tears and closed my eyes. My heart was shattered, and I didn't want to pick up what was left of the pieces, there was no longer a point in doing so. I held my head low and walked back into the mansion. I was broken and no longer found the strength to keep myself as a warrior. I was his prisoner now. I emerged into the mansion and saw Adrian sitting on his couch, he motioned for me to sit beside him, so I did.

"At last, the runaway is mine. My sweet little Dahlia." He said deviously before pushing me down against the couch, grabbing my hands, and pinning them above my head. My heart raced as my breath was lodged in my throat. I glared and tried to break free before he slapped my face with his backhand. I looked into his eyes with tears before keeping my glare.

"Don't test me, mongrel. You're my pet now and there is no escaping. Accept your fate now and things will be so much easier for you." I eased up on my tense body and whimpered.
