One moment the darkness had consumed me and then the next I woke up in a foreign place, gasping for air as I coughed the water out of my lungs. I heard chatter behind me and sweet laughter that made my heart feel as light as a cloud.
I observed my surroundings around this strange place before a stranger examined me. Her spirit seemed fair and gentle, almost motherly. Her eyes were a soft blue and her hair a woody brown.
Her facial features consisted of full lips and almond eyes; I could've sworn I had seen myself in her. She stared at me with a sudden smile appearing on her fast but just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone in the same amount of time.
"You're not meant to be here. It's too soon." She spoke, her voice soothing and as sweet as honey.
"No, this isn't right. My dearest girl, you need to wake up. You're not meant to be here so soon, my little Ellie."
