Arc 1

Ye Jin went to her classroom. She was in Class B, which consisted of students who were good but not good enough to compare with the students in Class A, which consisted of the geniuses. After going through a series of tests and interviews, they deemed it appropriate to place the original Ye Jin in Class B.

'At least she was not placed in Class C, which consisted of the underachiever' Ye Jin thought to herself.

Ye Jin sat quietly at the back of the classroom, fixated on the fighting lizards outside the window. Fortunately for her, she had been given a seat beside the window.

The murmur of students chatting and the occasional laughter surrounded her, but she remained detached, absorbed in the fight of those little creatures.

Her classmates couldn't help but notice her solitary and detached demeanor, like she wasn't part of their world. Little whispers floated through the class:

"Why is the new girl acting so strange?"

"I don't even know her name."

"Maybe she likes being alone."

"Just leave her alone, something about her creeps me out."

Ye Jin paid no mind to the whispers as she watched the bigger lizard swallow the smaller one. A simple thought flashed through her mind:

'Wouldn't it be better if she just killed Gu Yan?'

As the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, Ye Jin wasted no time packing her bags. The classes had exhausted her both physically and mentally. They consisted of lectures which, after her last day of high school, she had deleted from her memories. Now she would have to relearn everything, if she wanted to have a comfortable life in this universe.

The only skills she had were killing people, making deals, and killing more people. However, Ye Jin was not too enthusiastic about living that kind of life again. While it was good living in luxury, it was also good to live with peace of mind, the latter of which she had lacked ever since she joined her father in the underworld's business. This business led to the death of her cherished friends and comrades.

Speaking about peace of mind, Ye Jin looked at her phone and read a text from an unknown number:

'Ha! Ye Jin, you dare act so smug. Do you really think I won't post this for the whole world to see? Your ugly, shameful appearance.'

Ye Jin's eyes darkened. No wonder the original owner became so gloomy. It was because of idiots like this. Well, if she was going to live a peaceful life, she'd better take care of this nuisance.

On getting to the empty house, she dropped her backpack carelessly on the sofa and went to take a shower. Once she was done, she lit a joss stick, placed it on the glass table in the living room, and bowed to it three times. This was her final respect and farewell to Ye Jin, Ye Juan, Richard, Keith, and all her former comrades and friends she had left behind.

[Host, you have a task,] GMS 005 said.

Ye Jin: "What is it?"

[Within 2 hours, head to the Ye Mu ZhiXia Bar. The directions will be sent to you.]

Ye Jin asked, "And why should I go to the bar?"

[Gu Yan's life may be in danger. While he will not die, this incident will further trigger his madness. You saving him may help in his reformation and lead him to have some affection towards you.]

"Ha!" Ye Jin chuckled, her tone full of disdain. "Do you expect that madman to have some feelings for me because I saved him?"

[According to my calculations, yes,] GMS 005 said, confused as to why its host was asking such a question.

"Foolish system, there is a higher chance he would try to kill me instead," Ye Jin paused. "Though he would end up dying, I might end up with some severe injuries. I don't want any injuries on this pretty body."

She stared at herself in the glass table before her. Reflected on the table was the image of a pretty young girl with short bob hair, striking green eyes, and a petite nose and lips.

"She is really pretty," Ye Jin said, a satisfied smile on her lips.
