The lunch bell rang, signaling the end of the morning classes. Ye Jin was organizing her notes when the door to Class B slid open. Looking up, she saw Ning Yin approach Gu Yan, who was playing with her hair absentmindedly.

"Gu Yan, would you like to follow me to the cafeteria? I heard they're making steak today."

Before Gu Yan could respond, he caught sight of Ye Jin and offered a wide smile. "Hi, Ye Jin, you're welcome to join us too." He then gave a pleading look. "Please join us, I really have a lot to talk to you about."

Upon hearing this, Gu Yan's eyes darkened, and he quickly said, "Thanks, but Ye Jin and I have plans."

Ye Jin turned to Gu Yan, surprised. "Plans?" she repeated, tilting her head in confusion. "What plans? I wasn't aware of any plans."
