Chapter Eleven: Too Cool to Be a Corpse

"Why don't you bite someone who's bitable, pal?!" I called from a surprise attack from the bleachers in the school gym. Taking out my sunscreen lotion, I leaped off the bleachers and floated down the seats. Mitchell turned his attention to me. Pushing Mr. Shine across the side of the room, the principal clumsily collided with the other teachers around him.

Taking some of the sparkling lotion all over my face and hands, I wanted to see if Mitchell would be interested in my undead corpse. With this special sunscreen, it might taste better. I knew it could repel me against sunlight. Don't know if it would make it more yummier.

"Mission to make us better monsters," I said. "I know being a monster feels totally fun at first. But the monster you always want in life is to get on someone's bad side. You control it, you can let your monster gain incredible immortality by drinking blood from the monster leader. The leader behind making us undead vampires is this chick named Traci. She sired me in my dreams and now wants to make middle school her most valuable gift of wanting everyday living more like finding your monster power within. Let me help you and everyone to force humankind to unleash our true monster nature before..." I got cut off.

Interrupted when the school building in the gym started to vibrate like there was a violent earthquake. The walls started crackling and spitting a crack in the building down the basketball goals, shattering the glass. Mr. Shine looked at Mrs. Hey and they knew something was here to make this even a worse moment in their days trying to survive school.

"Safety children! Take cover and get to the public library!" Mr. Shine the principal well-ordered. And the teachers escorted the starting students away from the cracking walls and splits in the gym floors. Before the teachers could kindly and safely escape, the entire roof was blown off the school building!

Warning emergency sirens blared, as they turned to look into the sky. And behold before them, the Mothership beaming down on them. Lights flashing and circling them, getting in their eyes, making them fear of something otherworldly came to visit.

Turning to look at the unique spaceship hovering over the school, they watched hopeless. As Martian looking kids wearing space suits popped out of the alien craft. Taking out ray guns, their sinister eyes glowed and their weapons pointed at the vampire kid. Who couldn't defend themselves as they were fast moving and could fly around them. Snatching up the kids one by one. Taking them inside the flying saucer.

Showing no mercy, Mr. Shine grabbed hold of me before an ornery alien girl with pink-looking alien skin with octopus shaped legs. With slimy suckers helping walk at a quick pace. Their slender lengthy arms slithered at us holding their lethal looking gun and tried to take my lights out. Growling and gurgling in frustration, she ignored the hole she made in the floor, by my side, as the school was becoming a pile of nothing.

Suddenly, I spotted a hover skateboard and hopped on it by the boy's bathroom outside the school gym. Mr. Shine called after me, I turned back around and explained I was going to get help. I waved after him and hovered throughout middle school, trying to not watch as the Martian kids rampaged behind me. Trying to catch up to me, as I stopped in front of the end of the hall, I spotted Traci, blocking my path. Two alien bodyguards stood beside her. Protecting Traci with ray guns at their chest.

"My purpose of finding hope of undead life is what my dreams are for this town. This school was the only location that could make sense why I chose these kids to become vampire wannabes. Because these aliens want to act like they own this world. Want to take it over. So...I got the life I wanted from my vampire father. Now going to make us gain monster power and kiss those aliens out of this world! I didn't call to you to be a mortal boy with a clean unholy vampire kid to walk the earth forever, you just seemed like someone I can sink my teeth into," Traci looked serious, then smiled and showed her glistening, drooling fangs that slid unpleasantly fast down her top and bottom teeth.

Then, without explanation a squirt of sunscreen lotion splashed past her shoulders and directly hit Traci's forehead. Trying to wipe off the sunscreen that started to glow and burn Traci's skin, she pushed past the guards aside. And came after me, as she took out her frustration on me. Pushing me off my hover skateboard, and flew out of the middle school crumbling to the ground.

I don't know how to get past the scared, frightened monster kids swarming around me. Their hands outstretched, I noticed a shadow past me from above the shaking school. Looking up, I was about to face my fears. When I didn't have time to react or defend myself, a snotty, pudgy vampire boy jumped from the ceiling above me. Bared his fangs, and looked like he really wanted to tear out of my face. I gasped when the lotion bottom sunscreen slipped out of my reach.

This got the vampire boys and girls excited to see what was in my protection. A curious girl with her normal human girl looks, grabbed hold of the lotion and squeezed some of it and nearly got a glob of it another vampire boy with his monster face looking shocked with cautiousness. They gathered around the mess of sticky sparkling substance with fascination. The monster boy took a closer look with curiosity. He sniffed the substance and he touched it with fascination. It started to get some of his fingers. The glowing ooze brightened it and made his pale hand crumble into ash and dust. He looked at me with stupidity. And then he started to glow and poof into sparkling sunlight and blood stains from him splashed over us that got too close to him.

I didn't have to feel any pity for this monster bully kid who had it coming to him, so I snatched the bottle of sunscreen lotion from the floor next to me. And threatened to protect them from harming me. I smeared a couple of war paints across my cheeks. And before I could escape, a form of shadow appeared before us. The eyes glowed red and made a howling animal eerie sound, and made us cover our ears to stop ringing. It took out a yellow, whipping sound and snapped it at us.

"What can I do to make staying here on this home planet more pleasant?" I asked, worriedly. I shook and trembled around other vampire students, just as curious. While the unknown visitor who thought I was meant to be called to an alien ambassador to make life difficult for everyday people. Because we're powerful enough to make them not exist. And prepare for higher peace-loving humans who control what's good for us to get along. And accept humans for what we're here to belong before aliens decide to get involved. Yes...aliens are going to get their butts blown to smithereens and we're not sharing Earth to anyone who wants to mess with us.

Laughing ornery, the alien in shadow with the glowing whip, said in a soothing alien accent: "We're not here to make peace. We came to this middle school to make you. We'll make you a better monster the best you can be. Our alien commander is croaking, and we need someone young like you to take its place. And watch out for the stars in our galaxy from causing space sickness. Come now, or you'll be sorry you regretted helping an alien kind from wishing you were dead the next you drift off to a restless dream," it snapped, losing patience.

Gulping, I rubbed my forehead, thinking harshly about it. "Well, it sounds fun and all, but I like to think of myself as a monster protector. I've got to keep these wannabes to wannabe and believe to be here, even though we don't stand a chance in this school from crushing us to death! So...every kid for themselves! I'm out of this wacky school! Pick someone...stronger than me!" Throwing my hands in the air and waving them around in exaggerations and frustration, I pushed past the vampire kids next to me.

Realized I could climb the sides of the lockers, and climb out of the window. Letting middle school learn why it's hard for me to accept monsters in this community. The full moon made my monster spirit fly down the school gym. Watching the flying saucer suck up the remaining boys and girls into the spacecraft. Up they went and I couldn't help but watch and hear them scream for mercy. There was no way I was getting away pretending school was a place for educating undead mortals into life where normal was not what they signed up for.

I turned and watched the flying saucer light up the sky around the school, zapping it. Until all the kids were taken out of it. And I didn't watch anymore as I took off to Mom and Dad back to me. To stop them from unacceptable leadership with the aliens. I just ran to find a way to wake up before I became the victim of an alien mean green monster. Stay out of the unholy space...because they're coming to take us out. Who could possibly help? I was alone and nobody would be brave enough to face an alien invasion just beginning to get worse.
