Chapter 22: A New Friend

[Third Person's PoV]

During their lunch together, All Might was a bit surprised to learn that Tony was the one leading Stark Industries. He was a bit slow on the uptake.

"Wait, are you serious? And you're saying Melissa here is your secretary?"

"Did you just get it now?" Tony asked, looking at him weirdly. "What did you think she was talking about?"

All Might grew embarrassed as he rubbed the back of his head. "I thought you kids were playing a game together and you two were going to school here."

"You know I pride myself on not being easily surprised, but just wow!" Tony said, shaking his head in disbelief.

Melissa nodded. "I have to agree with Tony on this, Uncle Might. It's kinda embarrassing it took you this long to figure out."

"Please cut me some slack. How was I supposed to know a little kid would be such a big deal?" All Might said, his large smile faltering a bit.

"Do you not pay attention to the news?" Tony said with a raised brow, proud of his popularity.

All Might shook his head. "I mostly spend my time helping people however I can."

Melissa's eyes shone with admiration while Tony nodded in understanding.

All Might then turned towards Melissa. "So you're helping young Stark in making equipment for heroes?"

Melissa nodded. "It's awesome. Even though we're quirkless, it's like we're making a difference in our own way."

"You're quirkless as well, Young Stark? I would have assumed it was your quirk that made you smart enough to handle a company on your own," All Might said in astonishment.

Tony knocked on the side of his head. "All authentic."

They soon finished their meal and paid for their food. As they walked, Melissa and All Might talked about David and how he was doing.

But as they were in the middle of their conversation, a speeding car passed by, with people shooting from it.

Not long after, police cars were right on their tail. Tony and Melissa saw All Might struggling to make a decision, his gaze shifting between them and the direction the speeding cars went. So they made the decision for him.

"Just go, Uncle Might. You're a hero, so do what a hero is supposed to do. Don't worry about us; we can hang out another day."

"Are you sure? How are you–" All Might began, but Tony interrupted him with his phone in hand.

"Just go. I already texted our chauffeur to pick us up. Don't worry about us," Tony shooed him off.

All Might gave them one last look. "It was nice seeing you again, Melissa. And it was nice meeting you, Young Stark," he said before leaping into the air.

"What an interesting fellow," Tony said, watching him go into the distance.

Melissa nodded smugly. "Uncle Might is the best."

It didn't take the chauffeur long to arrive and pick them up, taking them back to the Yaoyorozu residence.

Momo was happy to see them, as they had become her only friends. Everyone who had approached her before only wanted to be friends because of her family's name and money, which she had learned one too many times, leading her to start homeschooling.

Upon learning about her past, Melissa felt a bit of pity towards her. After days of exchanging stories, they became friends. As Melissa and Momo started spending time together, Tony found out she was someone he could tolerate and didn't mind being friends with.

When they arrived, Momo looked at them shyly. She pressed her thumbs together and said, "You guys said you were going to help me train my quirk."

"We haven't forgotten, don't worry," Tony said with a playful eye roll.

"Sorry if I was being a bother," Momo muttered.

"You're not. If you were, Tony wouldn't have been friends with you," Melissa said teasingly as she patted his back.

"Really?"

Melissa nodded. "Tony is very simple. If he finds something annoying, he ignores it until it goes away. But if he finds it interesting or not bothersome, he doesn't mind being around it."

"Stop speaking like I'm autistic or something," Tony said with a straight face, causing Melissa and Momo to giggle.

Momo grabbed both of their hands and led them to her training room.

One Year Later…

"Are you guys really going to let me see it!?" Momo asked excitedly.

"We're taking you there, aren't we?" Tony said, leaning back in the limo seat.

"But this is your laboratory we're talking about. Even I, who have been your closest friend, haven't been there before," Momo said with enthusiasm.

"That's because Tony was customizing it and adding upgrades. He was very indecisive about many things, so it took a while for it to finally be complete."

"Hey... you wanted the walls to be purely white. There's no way I was going to have that. The interior design needed to be perfect. White hurts my eyes too much," Tony said, closing his eyes.

They soon arrived at what appeared to be a seaside mansion perched on top of a cliff. As they got out, the limo turned around and drove away by itself, as it was self-driven.

Momo looked at the giant house in amazement. "If you own this, why do you live with me?"

"My mother…" Tony sighed, and with that, they all headed inside.

Once inside, they heard a British woman's voice. "Welcome back, Master. What plans do we have today?"

"Aren't you the one supposed to keep tabs on that, Friday?" Tony teased.

"Who is that?" Momo leaned towards Melissa to ask.

"That's Friday, his A.I."

"He has an A.I.?" Momo asked in surprise.

They then heard the A.I. sigh. "Master, you know I meant, what are your orders for today?"

"Then you should have said that in the first place," Tony continued to retort.

"Congratulations, Tony, you managed to get an A.I. tired of you," Melissa said, looking towards Tony.

"For your information, I programmed her to be that way. Isn't that right, Friday?"

"Yes, Master. You said, and I quote, 'I'm gonna make her a little sassy. There's no better A.I. than a British bantering A.I.'"

"Anyways, onto the tour," Tony said as he began to lead them around.

"There's the couch. There's the television. There's the piano. The way to the balcony leads to an amazing view of the sea." Tony pointed to everything, giving minimal explanations.

They soon arrived at the piano, where Tony sat down. "Come a little closer," he told Momo.

They stood by the piano as Tony began to play the Marvel theme song, not that they recognized it.

Soon, they heard the sound of gears shifting and something mechanical moving. They looked around to see the space around the piano breaking away from the floor and starting to sink down as they descended.

"Woah," Momo said as they sank further down. She looked around and saw the platform transporting them to Tony's underground lab.

There were cars of different colors and designs, workbenches with various materials scattered around, and in the middle of the lab was a marshmallow-like figure with a small broom sweeping in place.

But what surprised Momo the most was the 15 suits of armor behind glass panels, each of different colors. When Momo looked up, she saw that the place they came down from was closed.

"Friday, how long has he been cleaning that spot?" Tony asked as they reached the ground.

"It has been 5 hours, Master."

Tony sighed, "Baymax, buddy, when I said clean this place up and I pointed to the floor, I meant to clean the entire lab, not just the spot I was pointing to."

Baymax looked towards Tony and gave his circular wave. "I see. I will now begin cleaning the entire laboratory."

"He's so cute!" Momo said, looking at Baymax. Melissa nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Tony stepped away from them and spread his arms out. "Anyways, Momo, I officially welcome you to the lab. Hope you enjoy the visit."
