Chapter 66: troubling portals

"I'm sorry you didn't get your dragon Jiminie." I said to him, we were all resting in a cave, which, to be fair this whole place is a cave. But there were multiple smaller caves everywhere, I wondered how this place was so densely forested. I wondered if there was any chance at rain at all, how ever there were probably thousands of ponds and rivers, and the light sources looked to be straight out of Minecraft. Hanging vines with glowing berries which I'm really wanting to take a bite out of but Yoongi said not to eat anything and as much as my intrusive thoughts seem to control me I don't want to take a chance.

"It's Okey, Im not sad about it, I like Douyanlee. Though, Yoongi said he was nothing but a demon rodent.." Jimin responded smiling at first, but gradually turning more dull.

"He is, but I also said that some my turn into the greatest dragons. And since no other dragon choose you, that means that he'll turn into that." Yoongi answered, laying down onto his back.

"Right..." Jimin mumbled, I looked at him a bit worried, he says he's fine but he doesn't act it. I poked him with my tail making him look at me, I made a 'whats wrong' face and he just stared at me for a bit, then suddenly blurted, "I don't like how you talk about him. He never did anything to you and you act like he's .. he's an inconvenience." Yoongi looked at him a bit shocked, Jimin's words were firm and seemed serious. But Yoongi just started laughing at him.

"What? You want me to treat him better? To me he is an inconvenience, just like all these dragons will be. But that doesn't mean you should take it personally, I'm simply used to better." Yoongi explained, Jimin seemed to calm down, but still held his ground, "Well maybe if you treated them better and wasn't so stuck up and obsessed with yourself you'd see the beauty in life. Not everything is always going to come up to your expectations, but that doesn't mean they deserve to be treated badly. Youre just being a big bully." Im sure jimin was trying to be all tough guy and intimidating but he was so cute to me, and probably to everyone else too.

"Alright, alright, you're right, I guess I do get a bit caught up in 'who's better', I'll appreciate life a bit more then." I admit I admire that Yoongi just took defeat and admit he was wrong, quite nice of him. And Jimin was more then happy as well, nodding a nod of victory and straightening his back as if winning a trophy.

But no victory just yet, now I'm looking at Taehyung. Who's visibly sweating and nervous, looking like he wants to burst out in tears.

I remembered his little incident when I turned and chalked it down to claustrophobia, so without saying anything I grabbed him with my tail and literally picked him up and took him outside. Nobody really questioned me and he just stayed quiet.

Once he was in a clear open area he didn't even bother using his legs when I put him down, he just sat onto his knees gasping as if he hadn't breathed for hours. He was clutching at the grass and Tsuriko seemed very worried about him, I pet her head a bit.

I bend down to Taehyungs level with a soft smile, "You're okey, Taehyung... You're safe.." I gently held his face, wiping the drops of tears in his eyes. He looked at me in a way I couldn't quite describe.. fear maybe?... No... Helplessness?.. I don't know... I really don't...

Nonetheless I did my best to calm him down and it worked, but he said he didn't want to go back in there and to be honest neither did I. Even I felt a bit claustrophobic.

So we ended up just cuddling with our dragons while having a normal and average conversation, as if nothing had happened. But I guess that can't be true considering any average conversation we had when everything was 'normal' would've ended in punching each other.

Eventually we ended up falling asleep together and being woken up a few seconds later, "Come on, it's time to go home." Yoongi said, Delores already having the portal back home opened.

As we went threw I felt that same nausea and threw up again, a heavy dragon on my back thinking it's helping.

I was again the only one getting sick from this. And it was pitch black outside, "There's not really a way to tell what time it is in that dimension." Yoongi said, going inside while I was still puking.

I somehow got myself to get to a bathroom inside instead, I tried to drink water but within minutes it came straight back out. Threwout the night I was puking nonstop to the point of actually staying next to the toilet for hours until I finally managed to fall asleep, the next few days were exactly the same.

Anything that went in came straight out, Yoongi said he didn't know why i was having such a bad reaction to the portal and everyone was getting really worried, in less then four days I had lost a full 3 kgs and I looked pale and had dark eyebags.

Luckily I got better, but not before a whole week of sleeping with a bucket next to me, and Yuna was just the biggest fluff ball in the mean time, all the dragons turned into smaller versions of themselves, most of them the size of Douyanlee. However Kazuko was the size of a freaking wolf.

After I got better we all went out to rest out dragons abilities, and for once, I'm able to say that im grateful they waited for me instead of being fussy about it. They really were amazing, Seokjin literally spent three hours cooking a soup I threw up even after four times trying to eat it. And he still held my hand and tried his best to help, he wasn't mad at all and honestly I don't even know why I was worried he would be.

And Hoseok stayed by me playing video games even if we had to stop and pause every few minutes so I can throw up, the point for us was that i eat as much as i can even if I threw up because I would at least get a bit from it in the few minutes to hours that i had it in my stomach. So basically every time I puked I ate a peace of bread, also cause it was the best and easiest to digest and tasted best.

However it did cause me to puke every 30 minutes at some point, but it was better then starving to death.

Taehyung was still sleeping by me, however we switched positions so that I would be on the edge so it would be easier to throw up in the middle of the night.

Even Jimin was helping me clean if I missed the bucket, kind of gross so let's move on.

We were all standing in the middle of the field, our dragons showing us all four versions of themselves they've got.

Which were the tiny doggo size, about a horse, about a few feet bigger then that and then the ultimate versions as big and bigger then elephants and blue whales. Which was obviously terrifying and made us all greatful they could become smaller so they would fit into the damn house.

They all seemed to have their own category they fall under, Douyanlee was a Joker, Arisaka was a Kuki, which basically translates to air, Kazuko was a Core, which means earth, Tsuriko and an Oceanic, which speaks for itself, Shaolyn was an Outer Star, but his specific species was a sun. And lastly, probably the best one here is my baby Yuna, though... She's a furry.. I'm not joking, her species is literally called a furry. Her whole category goes under Animal, but you pronounce it Animell, like Mel from Descendance.

All in all there are six Categories of dragons, Jokers, Oceanics, Cores, Animals and Outer Stars.

An Outer Star refers to a dragon from the outworks of it's dimensions, like a moon, sun, and actual stars. Which are all the different species in the Outer Star category.

Animal is a dragon written in the DNA of land and sky animals, it has the biggest species count, counting over six thousand different species. Seeing as it does have the biggest origin out of all of them, having millions of smaller more humane animals and birds to mix between.

And cores, earth dragon, dragons taken from the earth, there are flowers, trees, sand and forest species.

Next we have Oceanics, they speak for themselves, they are ocean creatures. The species consist of only two, deep sea and surface seas.

Lastly we have Jokers, though, Yoongi argues that they don't count as dragons until they come of age, having only two categories, Hybrids and Cats. Cats being small, catlike creatures seeking havoc over the deaths of hell along with its fellow hybrid, a slightly bigger and friendlier prior to the feisty little cat creatures.

"Wow, how lucky I got..." I mumbled watching Yuna flying around in the air, "She's... Perfect." I swear from anyone else's perspective I had heart eyes, Jimin laughed at me a bit, but Taehyung just touched my shoulder understandingly looking at his own Tsuriko, he chose that dragon. No.

They chose each other.
