My heart dropped hearing the message. Not once have I seen the system failing to gauge the threat level of anyone.

And yet, I could feel my breath hastening as I stared at the boy with his white framed bluish glowing wings.

His magic alone felt as threatening as Rias, no, beyond her. But there was something about him, something else that made him terrifying.

"W-What are you doing here?"

The Fallen, Maya, had the same expression as I did—an expression of worry. No, hers exceeded worry; it was fear that she felt.

"Vali Lucifer…" Yumma, or well, Raynare hissed as she stared at the boy.

"W-What is going on here?" Issei fell down, ass-first on the ground. "Who are you all?"

His finger shook in nervousness as he pointed at the Fallen.

This made the boy whom they called Vali, stare at Issei.

"You smell familiar." His eyes squinted. "What are you?"

What did he mean by familiar?

"Why are you here, Vali Lucifer?" 

He was named Lucifer. That set off countless alarms in my mind. 

But I just couldn't move recklessly.

Otherwise this scene might get messier.

"Raynare." The boy looked at the Fallens, "Kalawarner."

His wings didn't even flap, yet he remained in the sky. 

"Azazel isn't very happy at your disobedience."

I made sure not to draw attention to myself. I had to figure out this situation and make an escape if things worsened.

"W-We are doing this for him!" Raynare protested. "We are doing this so that he is able to find Sacred Gears for his research!"

Vali Lucifer looked at them with furrowed eyebrows, disgust fully visible on his face. He looked at them like they were worms, as if they were not worth looking at.

"You fools." He breathed out. "Leave before you cause any more trouble."

"B-But—"

They were about to protest.

However…

"M-monster…" Issei whispered with a pale face.

Even my body numbed as a sense of dread took over me.

Why?

Because the boy had his hands extended, with smoke rising from his palm. 

And the spot he pointed his palm at, the massive pole that stood proudly just a second ago —vanished.

Disintegrated. 

It was erased entirely.

A form of power and magic so fast and so strong that it erased matter.

Issei was right.

This boy…

Vali Lucifer.

He is a monster.

"I was told to take you back." Vali said, "I can take back your bodies too."

Absolute silence.

The implication was terrifying.

"W-We fight for the same cause, Vali. We are both serving under Azazel." Maya —Kalawarner tried to de-escalate the situation. 

However, Vali scoffed.

"Me? The same as you?" He laughed, "Do not put me on the same level as you, weak crow." His voice was filled with disgust. "You are slaves of Azazel while I work beside him." 

"You…" Raynare was furious, but she wasn't willing to go against the boy that could end her.

She was a low level threat.

And this guy?

He was a monster.

"Leave." His voice turned void of emotion. "Before I drag your bodies back to him."

"We—" Raynare wanted to say something, but she couldn't. She had to lower her head and nod —pressing her nails against the palm of her hand in anger.

Kalawarner's eyes turned to look at Issei.

"You…" She gritted her teeth. "You will die. Not today, but sometime soon."

I could not even laugh at that.

She was close to harming Issei. She was beyond furious at failing to kill Issei and she was even more furious at being made to look weak in front of us —humans that she considered weak.

Surprisingly, Raynare glanced at me and bit her lips.

She didn't curse and scowl like Kalawarner did with Issei.

Instead, she looked sad, angry and embarrassed. 

Yet she lacked the disgust towards me that Kalawarner had shown towards Issei. 

"Leave."

"Fine…" Kalawarner gritted her teeth and agreed.

For the first time I was happy with not worrying about the quest.

I wanted to get out of this situation as fast as I could.

And seeing them agree with the Vali guy and his weird wings —I was happy.

However…

"Not so fast, White Dragon Emperor!"

Someone had to show their pride and power.

"You are in Devil territory under Gremory and Sitri, and you will answer me."

Fuck.

Why?

Why did the White Dragon Emperor have to come here?

To Kuoh?

"Devils…"

He was strong.

I could feel it.

And worse of all, he was looking down on me —on all of us.

"This is devil territory, White Dragon Emperor." Akeno, Kiba and Koneko all had their powers flaring. "Why are you here?" 

"Does not bother you, Gremory." He scoffed, "Leave and I will leave with these idiots too." 

He seemed to lack interest, but he was harming the place just by being present.

His power was leaking everywhere, and he had destroyed bits of the park in the little time that he stayed here. 

"Tell us why you are here." I needed answers, "You are not allowed to leave before you answer."

"Hah?" He laughed. "And what are you going to do? Stop me?"

He appeared amused, and his arrogance was making me more and more pissed.

But I had to make sure that the innocents weren't hurt in this scuffle.

"Reo," I looked at the boy that stood confused. "Take Issei with you and get out of here. We will handle the rest."

"Who are they?" Vali Lucifer asked, "This one specially…" He frowned at Issei. "He smells familiar."

"None of your concern." I immediately looked at the boys. "Reo leave."

"Alright!" The boy finally focused and looked at Issei. "Issei, let's go!"

He ran and grabbed Issei by his arm, dragging him away.

"Not so fast." However, the White Dragon Emperor wasn't making it easy. "I have questions for him."

"Akeno!"

But I wasn't letting him do as he pleased.

"Impact of the Thunder God!" 

Just as Vali raised his hand, Akeno shot at him with her thunder.

"Reo, leave!"

And with that distraction, which for a second distracted the two boys too, they managed to make their escape.

"Stay safe." Reo whispered as he ran past us, making an escape from the park.

"Yeah."

As long as the two of them were away from here, we could use our powers freely.

And even the White Dragon Emperor shouldn't remain unscathed from a direct hit of Akeno's thunder.

Or so I thought…

"You are annoying…" His voice came through the smoke raised by the impact. 

"That—" Akeno's eyes went wide, and so did mine.

As the smoke cleared, he stood at the same spot —completely unharmed.

"Do not tell me that you are expecting to win against me with that little power?" 

This was going to be an issue, wasn't it?"

This is the power of a Longinus, isn't it?

[Outside the Park]

"What the fuck is going on, Reo?" Issei asked, shrugging off my hand from around his arm. "Who are all of them? And why was Rias, Akeno, Kiba and Koneko there?"

I have no desire to explain all that to him, but this guy is going to keep annoying me till I answer.

"Let's leave this place and I will explain everything to you." 

However, he had even less patience than I expected.

"No, you tell me now." He violently gripped his own hair. "Who really are Maya and Yuuma? And why did Rias and the rest arrive there? Who is that guy with glowing wings?"

I had to take a deep breath hearing so many questions at once. 

"I can understand that you are confused, I was confused too —still am." But this wasn't the time to stay stuck here. "But please let's get out of this place first."

"At least tell me who that man is!" He nearly yelled, confusion and worry taking over him.

"I have no clue. But from what I can tell, he is stronger than everyone in that park."

That Threat warning was still ringing in my ear.

And Rias called him the White Dragon Emperor, what does that mean?

I was just as confused as Issei. But the most important thing right now was getting the fuck out of here.

"Just think of every mythological story, every religious story that you have heard to be real. Believe that every god and goddess, devil, fallens and monsters from stories exist in the real world." I explained to him the way I understood it all. "And what you saw there, is one of such stories."

"Huh?" But the boy grew even more confused. "What is that supposed to mean?"

This idiot…

Fuck it!

"Oi!"

Despite his complaints, I grabbed him by his arm and using the strength provided by the magical physique —I pulled him away.

And despite all that…

"Aww going somewhere?"

I couldn't get away in time.

"Why don't you play with us?" 

Two people.

A blonde little girl, and a bulky man.

Fuck.

They were Fallens too, weren't they?
