From The Moment You Were Born Until Now, You And Your Father Haven't Met?

The Vice Chairman of the Hunter Association, Pariston Hill, who had a delicate and handsome face, appeared in front of Lan and Gon.

With a smile on his face, his skin was fair and smooth, almost flawless. His eyebrows were beautifully shaped, thick, and well-defined, with the ends slightly raised, giving off an elusive aura.

His eyes were like deep lakes, clear and bright, often glinting with a very calculated light, making it hard to predict his true thoughts.

"You are?"

Gon, curious, looked at the tall, handsome man, especially noticing the soft curve of his lips, which seemed to always be slightly turned upward.

He wore what appeared to be a gentle and friendly smile, giving off a sense of warmth.

However, Gon's sharp instincts made him feel that something might be hidden behind that smile.

"Ah, I haven't introduced myself."

Pariston smiled warmly: "I'm Pariston Hill, the vice Chairman of the Hunter Association. You can call me Vice Chairman or Mr. Pariston."

"Hello, Mr. Pariston, I'm Gon Freecss."

Since the other party hadn't shown any malicious intent and had introduced himself, Gon politely followed the guidance of his Aunt Mito and exchanged names.

"Ah, I already knew about you."

Pariston said cheerfully as if they were old friends catching up. "You were one of the successful applicants for last year's hunter exam, and I signed your hunter licenses."

"Really?"

Gon looked surprised.

Pariston continued as if suddenly recalling something: "You said your name is Gon Freecss... That surname sounds familiar..."

"Yes, my father is Ging Freecss."

Gon, being completely open and without malice, casually mentioned his father's name.

Of course, such information didn't need to be told; Pariston had likely already known about it.

However…

"Ah, I see..."

He clapped his hands lightly as if he had just figured something out: "You're actually Mr. Ging's son! What a surprise."

Pariston clicked his tongue in amusement as though he had discovered something quite remarkable.

The exaggerated way he acted made Lan, who was watching from the side, silently comment that if Pariston wasn't following Beyond Netero, he could easily be a natural-born politician, a born actor…

"No wonder, when I saw you, Mr. Gon, for the first time, I felt like I'd seen you somewhere before... Turns out you're Mr. Ging's son. You two look so alike..."

As he spoke, he covered his chin with one hand as though he were now seriously examining Gon's face: "You really do look alike; it's almost like you were carved from the same mold."

"Is that so?"

Gon felt a little embarrassed by Pariston's comments. He also became more curious about Ging Freecss, the person everyone kept mentioning.

"What's with that look in your eyes..."

Pariston pretended to notice the hope and anticipation in Gon's eyes and asked with mock concern: "You and your father, Mr. Ging, haven't met yet, have you?"

"Uh, no, we haven't..." Gon answered.

"So, you're saying that from the moment you were born until now, you and your father haven't met? You don't have any impression of Mr. Ging in your mind?"

Pariston seemed astonished as though hearing something unbelievable.

"Well, I don't have any impression of Ging..." Gon started.

"That's truly so tragic!!"

Pariston sighed deeply, cutting Gon off. "I didn't know you had such a past, Mr. Gon."

He appeared apologetic, then pressed his hands together in a sincere gesture: "I'm truly sorry. I didn't know about your situation, Mr. Gon..."

"You can just call me Gon, Mr. Pariston."

"Then you can just call me Pariston."

Pariston quickly took the opportunity to build a closer connection: "To show my apology, I'm willing to help you find Mr. Ging."

As he spoke, he seemed to wipe a tear from his eye as if a few tears had appeared at the corner.

"All these years without being able to meet your own father, that's really so tragic..."

"I'm willing to help you, Gon. I'll make sure you can meet your father as soon as possible!!"

Pariston spoke with a tone of decisiveness, as though it was his duty to help, and his expression conveyed an image of someone full of integrity and goodwill.

With his charming demeanor and the way he spoke, it was hard not to feel some warmth and trust toward him.

However…

"Thank you for your kind offer, Mr. Pariston..."

Gon glanced at Lan, who was still watching with arms crossed, clearly enjoying the show. Then, he quietly declined: "Ging has already agreed to meet with me."

"Really?! That's wonderful!!"

Pariston seemed to completely miss the underlying rejection in Gon's words. He seemed genuinely pleased as if he were truly happy for Gon.

"Now, I can rest easy."

Pariston let out a breath of relief, lightly patting his chest.

"I've been carrying this worry, and now it's been resolved."

His smile once again subtly curved upward, and with the change in his expression, it became even more charming.

"So, Gon..."

Pariston, not noticing the subtle distance in Gon's words, addressed him again with a warm tone: "Where and when will Mr. Ging meet you?"

"Is there anything I can do to help?"
