A Letter

Julius beamed with excitement as he carefully examined the stack of gifts they had received from Viscount Ardent Pitt. His fingers trailed over the delicate wrappings, eagerly deciding which box to open first.

Across the room, Maverick barely spared the pile a glance. He looked utterly disinterested.

"I'll leave it to you," Maverick said with a dismissive wave, already turning toward the door. "I've got work to do, so I'll be in the study room."

Julius, fully engrossed, waved him off without even looking up. "All right, happy working."

Maverick paused at the doorway, glancing back at Julius with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. "He's like a kid," Maverick muttered, shaking his head. "Getting excited over every little thing."

Henry, standing nearby, allowed himself a small smile. "Lord Weston always has his own way of fun, my lord."
