chapter 1:may the beginning end well

Chapter One

"Minaru! Sho! Hurry up! It's almost time for the show!" Tokubetsu called out as he dashed towards the 'ramen hut,' the only place in the village with a television.

They raced across the tranquil streams, crossing the bridge at Shinwa Mural and greeting the villagers they passed. As they reached the restaurant, they saw a small crowd gathered, sitting on benches and overturned crates.

Panting, Minaru, Sho, and Tokubetsu hurried inside. "Did we miss it?" Tokubetsu asked, his voice laced with urgency.

"Not yet," a stranger replied between mouthfuls of the less-than-appetizing food. "You're just in time."

The friends sighed in relief. "I would have lost it if I missed the 4334th episode of *Blue Rose*," Tokubetsu said, only half-joking.

"It's Sho's fault," Minaru said, glaring at him. "He got his head stuck in a ventilation shaft, so we had to stop and help him."

"I only tried to help him," Sho retorted. "He was the one who got stuck."

"Yeah, well, I still ended up covered in dust," Minaru said.

"Come on, let's just get in before it starts," Tokubetsu urged.

At the door, Yoshiko, the owner, stopped them. "You know the rules. You need to buy something to watch the TV," she said firmly.

Sho fished out some coins. "Here, let's get something quick so we can sit down," he said, handing over the money.

Inside, the friends found a spot near the front. Tokubetsu, clearly excited, sat down with anticipation as the show's opening theme started, drawing the crowd's attention.

**The screen flickered to life, and the familiar voice of the show's narrator began:**

"In an age long forgotten, Earth thrived amidst a tapestry of chaos and brilliance. Once a cradle of human innovation and conflict, it bore witness to countless epochs of splendor and despair. Cities reached for the heavens, and beneath them, the earth trembled with the weight of wars and natural disasters, a world teetering on the brink of oblivion.

In the final moments of Earth's grandeur, a beacon of hope emerged from the cosmos. Alien civilizations, with motives shrouded in mystery, descended upon the ravaged planet. With technology beyond human imagination, they salvaged the remnants of humanity and transported them to a new world—Chronos Earth.

On this new world, a fresh beginning unfolded. Terraformed landscapes stretched across vast continents, while humanity grappled with the wonders and challenges of their new home. The remnants of the old world became whispers in the wind, and a new era dawned—an era of advanced technology, superhuman abilities, and untold possibilities.

Even as Chronos Earth flourished, the echoes of its predecessor lingered in stories and legends. As the past intertwined with the present, new generations rose to forge their own destinies in this transformed world."

**Tokubetsu leaned back, a contented smile on his face, and said to Minaru and Sho,** "I never get tired of hearing how our world came to be. It's like reliving history every time."
