"Anyone in there?"
The students voice called out, I quickly gathered the courage to answer the question.
"...yeah."
He backed up a few steps.
"...sorry."
As he answered I heard the way he spoke, he was clearly embarrassed. I just silently chuckled before standing up and flushing the toilet and stepping out into the rest of the bathroom.
I looked up at the indigo haired boy, whose tired and sleepy eyes were staring back at me.
"Got something to say?"
He asked me, his voice now more nonchalant and broad. I just stood there for a few seconds.
"What's your name?"
He asked me, trying to break the wall of awkwardness between the 2 of us, I quickly gathered up the courage to respond.
"Isaac, yours?"
"Hitoshi Shinso, student from general studies."
He didn't reach his hand out for shaking or anything like that, he just stood still.
"I suppose the general studies classrooms are quite hot, aren't they?"
I broke the silent by asking that stupid question, Hitoshi just chuckled softly before answering.
"It's like the pits of hell to say the least, strange how I've never seen you around though."
"...yeah, I'm a transfer from America, I joined the quirk-less program."
Hitoshi was silent as he repeated the last 2 words.
"Quirk-less program."
"Isn't Mr. Aizawa teaching that class, fun fact...he actually taught class 1-A for a few years until he got demoted."
"Why'd he get demoted?"
I asked, now feeling a surge of curiosity through my body.
"Well...he didn't do anything bad to say, but...they found a better teacher."
I felt relieved, I guess it was now guaranteed that he wasn't going to be a dick to anyone in our class.
"Anyways, what's general studies like?"
I asked, turning towards the sink while running my hands under the faucet water.
"Well, it's basically a class for those who have quirks, but don't want to be heroes."
"So you don't want to be a hero?"
I asked, Hitoshi nodded while letting out a small laugh.
"I wanna be a hero, but the Hero Course deemed by quirk to be villainous and almost useless, so they sent me to general studies, surprised they didn't just send me down to the quirk-less class where you are."
"Yeah...but I think you'll be a good hero, but what is your quirk?"
I asked, Hitoshi fell silent, seeming hesitant to answer the question.
"...I can brainwash people, make them do what I want them to do."
I froze.
"Wow, that's sick."
I tried not to sound sarcastic, but I guess I failed since Hitoshi's expression started to wrinkle up.
"Really?"
His voice now rung with annoyance, as he stood back a few to look at me, his eyes narrowing.
"I didn't mean it like that...I can just found sarcastic at times."
Hitoshi didn't really seem to believe that, as he turned away from me.
"If you think I'm a villain, just say it."
I took a few steps towards him.
"You're not a villain, look at you, you came to U.A, you're wearing the U.A uniform, you want to be a hero...why should I call you a villain?"
Hitoshi turns back towards me, a small smile now on his face.
"You really think that, huh."
I nodded.
"Of course."
Hitoshi then smiled, as he approached me and put a hand on my shoulder, it was quite warm to the touch.
"Well uhm...thank you...Isaac?"
He seemed really awkward when it came to thanking people, as a tiny amount of blush formed on his face.
He then backed up and waved his hand at me.
"You should probably get back to class."
I nodded, turning back towards the door before leaving with a tiny wave, but before my foot even touched the tile floor I heard a voice behind me.
"Wait!"
I turned back towards Hitoshi, who spoke up again.
"Wanna...met up after school?"
I paused.
"...sure, when?"
Hitoshi approached me before pulling out a tiny sticky note from his backpack, he put it against the wall for a stable writing surface, he scribbled something down on the paper before handing it back to me, it read "Gungmeons Coffie"
I nodded in appreciation before leaving.
"See you there."
