I wake up in a cold sweat from a nightmare. What was in it though I can't remember despite how hurt my heart is. I get up, go shower, get dressed, and then eat breakfast before heading out to my next destination.

"I guess it's time I go to the forest."

I get out of the carriage to be with Aelwyn as we journey. Just about 30 minutes in I see smoke off to my right. I look at the map given to me and see that around there is where a small village is.

I guide Aelwyn to the village in hopes that it's just a festival going on and if not, I hope that I arrive in time to help.

As we get closer there is a stench in the air so bad I lose the contents of my stomach.

I cover my face with a face mask to eliminate the smell as much as possible while scouting the area. Then as we get inside I see men, the elderly, and boys all atop pikes for display.
