Avalon stood there awkwardly, his mind racing as he tried to figure out the right words. Apologies weren't something he did often, especially not to people he had just called a thief. But looking at Tomas now—small, delicate, and clearly nervous—he knew he had to make things right.

"Tomas," Avalon started again, his voice steady but softer. "I'm…I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I overreacted."

Tomas blinked, clearly taken aback by the apology. His wide eyes, almost too big for his small face, met Avalon's gaze for a moment before he quickly looked down. "I-It's fine. It was my fault anyway…I shouldn't have taken it without telling you."
