Avalon tilted his head slightly as he looked down at Tomas, noticing how tired and frail he appeared, the way he clutched June protectively against his chest. "I'll walk you home," Avalon said, his voice softer than before.

Tomas immediately shook his head, his large, expressive eyes blinking up at Avalon in surprise. "N-no, it's fine," he stammered, still embarrassed from everything that had happened earlier. "You don't have to. We'll be okay."

But Avalon wasn't having it. He crossed his arms, his stance firm. "I insist," he replied, a small smile playing on his lips. "I think it's the least I can do after…well, after everything."

Tomas opened his mouth to protest again, but when he met Avalon's gaze, something in the Vampire's eyes made him pause. There was sincerity there, something that made Tomas hesitate. He chewed on his bottom lip nervously, something Avalon immediately noticed.
