An excited Vampire

Tomas felt a knot tighten in his stomach the moment they stepped into Avalon's home. It was vast, with high ceilings and walls adorned with expensive paintings and antiques, the kind of luxury that made Tomas feel out of place instantly. Everything was so polished, so pristine. It was the kind of house you'd expect a vampire of Avalon's stature to own, and Tomas, with his worn-out clothes and small baby in tow, felt incredibly out of his depth.

Avalon noticed Tomas's hesitance and gave him a reassuring smile. "Sit, relax," Avalon said softly, motioning to a comfortable-looking couch. "I'll bring drinks and something to eat."
