He was standing in front of the door, where Boon's parents and Boon were standing before him to say goodbye.
Abia suggested "Why don't you just spend the night?, I can just explain to your mother."
It would be easier for Boor to just spend the night, but he didn't stay so close to Boon. They were not friends that he was about to stay with him and he was too long now at his home. He dried himself, almost fell asleep, played on Boon's phone and could see how they welcomed a new pet and got to pet it too. Isn't that enough? He shook his head.
Boor: "Thank you, but I'll just go now"
Abia looked at him with a sense of contentment in her eyes, her expression softly relaxed and her lips quirking into a small smile.
Abia: "Do you know how often your mother talks about you?"
She raised her arms to cup Boor's cheeks which startled him a little. To her comment he rolled his eyes.
Of course his mother gossiped about him but she didn't have to rub it in his face.
Abia chuckled "Don't be embarrassed now ~" She teased, pinching his cheeks now.
"She loves you alot, hm? How lucky"
Huh?
Boor: "What.. What does she say about me?"
Boor was walking home under the cover of darkness, the only sound to be heard outside was the rain. As always he looked down as he walked, refusing to look straight ahead as Abia's words from their previous conversation replayed in his head.
"Hmm.. you know, the things about you.. Independent, headstrong.. She says that your stubbornness is a great quality to have"
She explained before adding a playful "Even if some don't understand that"
Each step felt heavier as he walked. Did he know where he was going? Boor wasn't unfamiliar with directions but he seemed to be just following where his feet was taking him.
"Alba sometimes does tell me about the little arguments that happen in the family but that happens you know? Your mother knows how much you would do for your family and friends, Boor"'does she?'
"And you're extremely smart, right? There is a reason you skip school, you already know all that stuff"
'doesn't she… wasn't she.. supposed to despise me? Talk about how disappointed she is?'
Did he feel heavier by the second because of the wet clothes? was the cold temperature making him walk slower or was he underwater? He tried to walk and trudge through but clouds were crying way too much that night.
"Boor, your mother is lucky to have you. She spoke to me with such certainty and confidence when she told me what a bright future you have, with the way you are"
Boor froze.
It seems like he could no longer walk. He felt cold, soaked and disgusted.
He felt disgusting.
"Haa.."
He looked up to the moon that shone brightly regardless of the rainy clouds in the way.
Not that he could see it clearly
Not that anyone would notice tears under the rain
