Soul Mentor Lucian Shade, after long contemplation of the soul, sought to escape the "vicious circle" of his research. Through a century of enlightenment, he reshaped his body, breathing new life into his undead form. He declined the protection of the Twelve Sages of the Undead and set out with his magical beast, Nimble, from Aegis to travel the continent.
