Chapter 59 The Terrible Emperor Of The Sea, The Arrival Of The Uninvited Guest

Since the fall of Kurozumi Orochi and the Beasts Pirates, the Kozuki clan has regained power over Wanokuni and initiated new plans.

Kuri has been completely transformed into an industrial zone. Over 7,000 former members of the Beasts Pirates have been put to work as free labor, mining seastone day and night, cultivating fertile farmland, building canals and bridges, and more—contributing to the reconstruction of Wanokuni.

The residents who originally lived in Kuri have been relocated to the Flower Capital. Over the years, all the wealth accumulated by Kurozumi Orochi has been used for welfare and to open gyms. Not only do people no longer have to work as hard, but they also enjoy living allowances provided by the shogun's government, and their happiness index has skyrocketed.

But today is different from usual.

The streets of the Flower Capital are devoid of the usual laughter, replaced by an atmosphere of heavy tension and anxiety. The people have learned that the fleet of the Big Mom Pirates is making its way toward Wanokuni.

General's Mansion

"Your Highness, I have already informed the World Government of the situation. The Marine fleet is expected to arrive soon," Denjiro reported.

"Marine... I'd rather they didn't come," Hiyori sighed softly.

Denjiro shook his head slightly. "As much as we may not want to admit it, without Marine's assistance, we can't stand against the Big Mom Pirates. After all, she's an Emperor of the Sea, just like Kaido was."

Hiyori's eyes darkened. She knew Denjiro was right. But the thought of Marine personally imprisoning Garros and sending him to Impel Down left a bitter taste in her mouth.

A few days ago, when meeting with representatives from the World Government, she had asked about Garros's situation but received no news.

Denjiro continued, "Even if we manage to repel the Big Mom Pirates this time, there's still another problem we need to address."

"The Donquixote family has unilaterally broken its trade contract with us."

"What…?"

Hiyori immediately recognized the gravity of the situation. The treasure left by Kurozumi Orochi has been spent. To ensure the people's happiness, she had specifically ordered the cancellation of Wanokuni's taxes for five years. Right now, foreign trade is their only source of revenue.

She thought for a while, but no particularly good solution came to mind. "Let's not worry about that for now. The priority is to deal with the Big Mom Pirates' invasion."

Denjiro hesitated, struggling internally before finally speaking up. "Charlotte Linlin is as strong as Kaido. We can't place all our hopes on Marine."

"Your Excellency Garros left behind twenty Devil Fruits. Why not…"

"No!" Hiyori interrupted immediately, not even letting him finish.

"Garros is our benefactor. We can't take his things without his permission."

Denjiro sighed again. As a samurai, he initially disliked Devil Fruits. But after experiencing the battle with Kaido, he realized the gap between himself and these powerful beings.

In this world, whether one is good or evil, strength is the ultimate measure. If he had the power to protect his homeland, even turning into a monster wouldn't matter to him.

If they could use those Devil Fruits, it would greatly increase their chances of victory. And if they managed to defeat Charlotte Linlin, they might even be able to trade with the World Government for Garros's freedom.

The two fell silent, the room growing oppressively quiet.

Suddenly, someone reported from outside the door, "Lady Hiyori, a group of pirates has arrived at the harbor and requested entry to Wanokuni."

"Pirates?" Both Hiyori and Denjiro were startled, exchanging wary glances.

Hiyori quickly asked, "Is it the Big Mom Pirates?"

"No, their captain calls himself Red-Haired Shanks and says he can help us with this situation."

At the harbor, aboard the Red Force

On the deck, a group of pirate-like men were laughing and talking.

Beckman, leaning against the mast with a cigarette in his mouth, crossed his arms. "It took us just three days to get from Sabaody Archipelago to Wanokuni... Shanks, why rush? Wouldn't it be better to wait until they've worn each other out and then swoop in as saviors to claim this country?"

Shanks shook his head. "If we did that, who knows how many people would die in the process? Now that we're here, we can't just stand by and watch it happen."

"If possible, I'd like to prevent this war and gain the Kozuki clan's friendship."

Yasopp, who was cleaning his sniper rifle, looked up with a smile. "Boss, we're dealing with an Emperor of the Sea. Do you think they'll accept our proposal?"

Shanks slowly drew his sword, Griffin, from his waist and gazed out at the sea. "If they don't accept our peace offer, then we go to war! Let's make the Big Mom Pirates our stepping stone!"

At the General's Mansion

Accompanied by warriors, the Red-Haired Pirates arrived at the General's Mansion in the Flower Capital.

"Tell us why you're here, pirate!" Yamato, Denjiro, and Shutenmaru glared at the red-haired man with a missing arm, hostility evident in their eyes. After their experience with the Beasts Pirates, they naturally had little love for pirates.

Shanks scratched his head and chuckled. "No need to be so tense. We come with good intentions. We heard that the Big Mom Pirates are planning to attack this country."

"If possible, we'd like to help you deal with your current troubles."

No one expected that response.

Yamato frowned. "We don't know each other. Why would you help us?"

Shanks's expression turned serious. "Once war breaks out, countless innocent civilians will die. I don't want to see that happen."

"That's...," Yamato started, but words failed him. The others exchanged uneasy glances.

Denjiro snorted. "Do you really expect us to believe that? Tell us your true purpose!"

Shanks wasn't angered by their suspicion. He smiled calmly and said, "If possible, we'd like to hang the Red-Haired Pirates' flag here."

"From now on, we'll protect this place."

Hiyori, sitting in the main seat, calmly folded her paper fan and replied, "I'm sorry, but Wanokuni is an ally of the World Government and is protected by Marine."

"Please, leave. Wanokuni does not welcome pirates."

Three days later, near the cliff waterfall outside Wanokuni.

The Red Hair Pirates gathered around a campfire, drinking and chatting.

Benn Beckman took a deep drag on his cigarette. "It's been three days, and they still haven't accepted our offer."

"Even if we help them defeat the Big Mom Pirates, they won't be grateful," Yasopp remarked, his attention shifting to Shanks. "What are we going to do?"

Shanks looked towards the warriors guarding the coast and sighed. "I can't understand these samurai. They're so stubborn."

Beckman shrugged. "So what's the plan now? Wait until they're about to lose before stepping in?"

"Pretty much. We can't force our help on them," Shanks replied, his tone resigned.

Suddenly, Yasopp, who was holding a telescope, exclaimed, "They're coming!"

Far out at sea, countless pirate ships bearing skull flags were heading toward the waterfall. With Big Mom's Devil Fruit power, massive carp pulled the ships up the waterfall.

Wanokuni's response was swift. As soon as they spotted the enemy fleet, nearly 10,000 warriors, led by Yamato and others, gathered, prepared to defend their land.

As the two sides drew closer, Denjiro issued an order. "Attack!"

More than ten swordsmen stepped forward, unleashing sharp flying slashes toward the pirate ships below the waterfall. Several ships were instantly shattered into countless pieces.

Perospero, Oven, and other Big Mom Pirates' officers quickly launched a counterattack. Big Mom herself snorted coldly as she ascended into the sky on her thundercloud, Zeus.

"Napoleon!" she commanded.

Her bicorn hat grinned menacingly, transforming into a massive serrated sword that flew into Big Mom's hand. "Weiguo!"

A dazzling light erupted as a colossal shockwave of sword energy surged toward the samurai army. The warriors stood frozen, staring at the incoming attack, unable to react.

Just as it seemed like the end, three figures leaped forward, their expressions unwavering. "Don't underestimate us!" they shouted in unison.

"Oden Two Sword Style: Taoyuan Ten Fists!"

"Thunder Bagua!"

With a thunderous roar, the three warriors' combined attack dispersed Big Mom's slash. Yamato swung her mace, enveloped in black lightning, striking Big Mom with all her might.

Big Mom was knocked back, plummeting toward the base of the waterfall like a meteor.

"Mother!" Perospero shouted in shock. "Quick, catch her!"

The unexpected turn of events left the Red Hair Pirates in awe. "Wanokuni has warriors this strong?" Beckman mused. "No wonder they refused our help."

Shanks, however, remained focused on the battle. He was impressed by the strength of the three warriors, comparing them to the legendary Roger Pirates.

Meanwhile, the Big Mom Pirates' fleet finally made it up the waterfall. "Everyone, charge! Repel the enemy!" Denjiro commanded, rallying the samurai.

The battlefield erupted into chaos as warriors and pirates clashed. Swords clanged, and shouts of battle filled the air.

In the sky, Big Mom, with the help of Zeus and Prometheus, stabilized herself mid-air. Her anger was palpable, and her aura grew more terrifying by the second.

"Fine!" she sneered, her tone icy. Waves of fearsome energy radiated from her. "Light Sword!"

Napoleon, Prometheus, and Zeus combined into a single, monstrous weapon. A blinding light burst forth, and the resulting attack, a slash infused with fire and lightning, distorted the very space around it.

Like a judgment from the gods, it struck down toward the island below.

The beam of light, a hundred meters wide, descended upon the island, piercing the ground and continuing into the sea. The warriors caught in its path were annihilated instantly, their bodies disintegrated by the sheer force of the attack.

The devastation left the warriors in despair. "Is this truly a power that a human can wield? Can we really defeat this monster?" one warrior muttered, his resolve wavering.

In the distance, the Red Hair Pirates watched in stunned silence. The casual smiles they wore earlier were replaced by solemn expressions.

Shanks instinctively reached for his sword. Beckman raised his rifle, ready to engage.

"That was an incredible attack," Beckman remarked, his voice tense. "Big Mom's power is beyond anything we've seen. If nothing changes, these warriors are finished. Prepare to fight."

Just then, Yasopp sensed something and lowered his sniper rifle. "Wait, I feel something approaching."

He grabbed his telescope and scanned the horizon. "It's a Marine warship."

Far out at sea, small black dots appeared, heading toward Wanokuni.

Shanks frowned. "Marines? Can you see which Admiral it is?"

Yasopp squinted. "I don't see any Admirals... Just three warships. Boss, can three warships really defeat the Big Mom Pirates?"

Shanks was about to respond when his expression changed. Beckman also looked up, his eyes narrowing as a shadow descended from the sky.

In a split second, a figure pierced through the clouds and landed in the middle of the battlefield.

The sudden arrival caught everyone's attention. As the dust settled, Big Mom's eyes widened in disbelief.

"You... You're Garros?! No, it can't be! You should be locked up in Impel Down! How is this possible?!"
