Beehive Island
The sudden arrival of the dragon caused a stir across Beehive Island.
Whether it was sailors unloading cargo at the docks or drunkards stumbling out of taverns, all eyes turned to the sky, filled with unease and tension.
"Big Drinker" Vasco Shot, "Corrupt King" Avalo Pizarro, "Crescent Moon Hunter" Catarina Devon, and the other pirates nervously stared at the giant dragon circling overhead, unsure of how to react.
"Kaido of the Beasts!" Vasco Shot slurred. "I didn't think that guy would show up here!"
"Wasn't he captured by the Marines? How...?"
Though they hadn't spent much time together, Kaido had left a deep impression on them during their time imprisoned in Impel Down. After their successful jailbreak, they had originally planned to stick together and form a new pirate crew. But Kaido had left them halfway through the journey. The last they had heard, he had been captured by the Marines...
Now, the dragon was swooping down from the sky.
Amid a chorus of gasps and murmurs, the massive creature shifted form midair, transforming back into his human shape and landing with a thunderous crash.
"What? Don't recognize me?" Kaido—now Carlos in disguise—bellowed with a laugh. "If it wasn't for me, you'd still be rotting in that hellhole Impel Down!"
Carlos scanned the group around him, his laughter booming. Though he now served as Marine Marshal, his years as an undercover agent had honed his acting skills. He seamlessly slipped into the role of Kaido, his performance flawless.
Shiryu of the Rain took a drag from his cigar, eyeing Kaido suspiciously.
"Didn't the Marines capture you…?"
"I'm Kaido, what can a bunch of Marines do to me?" Carlos snapped, brushing off the question. "I'm back to form a pirate crew. What do you say, will you join me?"
Shiryu and the others exchanged uncertain glances, clearly hesitant, as if they were holding something back.
Just then, an overwhelming, oppressive aura surged from the Skull Castle at the center of the island. The wind howled, carrying clouds of dust as the ground beneath them cracked and split. In seconds, hundreds of pirates scattered across the island collapsed, unconscious.
Carlos frowned slightly, sensing the power behind the Haki.
Boom!
In response, Carlos unleashed his own powerful Conqueror's Haki. The two forces collided in midair, creating an invisible yet palpable pressure that made everyone around them stagger back in fear. The intensity of the clash caused even the toughest pirates to retreat, their legs trembling beneath the weight of the dueling spirits.
After a tense standoff, a tall figure appeared at the window of the Skull Castle.
It was Bullet, his eyes ablaze with the thrill of battle.
"Kaido!" Bullet roared, his voice echoing across the island. "I didn't expect you to escape the Marines. You've got guts!"
He grinned fiercely. "Come on! Let's finish what we started! We'll settle who's the strongest in the world!"
The two had crossed paths shortly after their escape from Impel Down, but their duel had been interrupted when they were ambushed by the Marines and the Whitebeard Pirates. Though Bullet had desperately wanted to prove himself against Kaido, circumstances had forced them to put their battle on hold. Kaido had disappeared shortly afterward, and Bullet had taken over Beehive Island by defeating Ochoku in combat. Since then, he had been eagerly searching for Kaido's whereabouts.
Now that they had crossed paths again, Bullet's fighting spirit was raging uncontrollably.
Carlos, standing in Kaido's shoes, felt the thrill of the challenge. It was like playing a top-tier character in a game—how could he pass up the chance to fight?
His eyes gleamed with excitement.
"You want a fight? Then i will give you one!" he growled.
And with that, the battle began.
Boom!
In an instant, both figures vanished from sight, moving at speeds too fast for the naked eye to follow.
The next moment, two white shockwaves tore through the sky, colliding with an immense force that seemed to defy nature itself.
For a brief moment, time seemed to freeze. Even the colors of the world appeared to fade.
Then—
BOOM!
A series of deafening explosions erupted in the sky as the island beneath them quaked violently, groaning under the immense pressure.
The onlookers, gripped by terror, clutched their ears to block out the overwhelming noise. Their eyes widened in horror as they watched the battle unfold above them.
Countless afterimages filled the air, as Kaido and Bullet exchanged rapid blows, their fists and feet clashing dozens of times per second. The sharp, piercing sound of each impact was so intense it threatened to tear apart the eardrums of everyone nearby.
The battle's ferocity continued to escalate, and the once clear sky darkened, turning into a menacing storm of clouds. Shockwaves from their clash rippled out in all directions, wreaking havoc across the island.
Trees, houses, and the earth itself were obliterated by the sheer force of their fight. Even the sea, more than ten kilometers away, was not spared. What had been calm waters now surged with massive waves, hundreds of meters high, crashing wildly and sweeping everything in their path.
Pirate ships anchored at the port were torn apart by the raging waves, reduced to splinters of wood and wreckage that floated on the violent sea. The island itself seemed to be sinking—only a matter of time before it disappeared beneath the waves.
Terrified pirates scrambled toward the port, desperate to escape the chaos.
For Carlos, the thrill of each collision, the rapid shifts between attack and defense, drew him deeper into the fight. He was utterly immersed, losing track of time as he fought. In his mind, there was only the endless exhilaration of battle.
This was the first time since arriving in this world that he had felt such an intense, all-consuming fight.
Kaido's body was powerful, nearly perfect, with no visible weaknesses. As Carlos fought, Kaido's decades of battle experience and instincts flowed into his consciousness, merging seamlessly.
Explosions and roars echoed endlessly through the sky. Above them, thick clouds were ripped apart, and the ground beneath them was reduced to rubble.
The tens of thousands of pirates on the island had long since fled to the sea on their ships, watching the battle unfold from a safe distance. Their initial expressions of terror gradually gave way to numb disbelief.
"They've been fighting for five days and nights..." one pirate muttered, eyes wide with exhaustion.
"At this rate, it'll be impossible to tell who will win anytime soon."
The fight had pushed both warriors to their limits.
Suddenly, Bullet made his move, planting his hands into the ground with a fierce determination.
In an instant, his body began to glow with a powerful purple light. A strange, ominous energy spread outwards, consuming everything in its path.
The houses, trees, rocks—everything on the island—was drawn toward Bullet, merging together in a chaotic swirl of matter.
His body began to expand, growing larger and larger by the second.
Fifty meters.
One hundred meters.
His size kept increasing, seemingly without end. The entire island was shrinking, its very essence being absorbed into Bullet's towering form.
In moments, Bullet had transformed into a monstrous giant, towering over a thousand meters tall.
He looked down at the island below him, his eyes cold and indifferent, like a god staring down at mere mortals. His voice, as loud as thunder, boomed through the sky.
"Kaido! I am the strongest in this world!"
His roar echoed across the heavens, so powerful that it scattered the clouds themselves.
Slowly, he raised his massive fist into the air.
Then, with a terrifying force, he brought it down.
The punch seemed to defy logic—moving both slowly and quickly at the same time, yet carrying unimaginable power. The winds howled as the fist descended, accompanied by sharp sonic booms.
The sheer force of the punch was so immense that it seemed to tear apart the very air itself.
