The Long Awaited Moment!

The moment Rey got to where Jean was seated, he collected the dirty dish that Jean had placed on bed and let out a smirk.

"You know what, I think I was unlucky to never find the drink I kept in the drawer some hours ago. I think someone drank it and I know of one that is capable of such. This is disheartening because it was the same drink that I was to give you."

When Jean heard this statement from Rey, he heaved a sigh of relief. He had expected Rey to suspect him the moment he got the bottle empty, this was because he had been locked in the chamber for quite some time before the ugly guy was first send to check for the briefcase.

Keeping in mind that Jean had also complained of hunger to Rey some moments ago, there were high chances that Rey could have suspected him right away.

But since Rey said he knew of someone capable of such, Jean automatically knew Rey didn't suspect him. Although he had prepared himself to deny any accusation that he might have received from Rey, he wasn't that confident to completely convince him to believe that he didn't take the drink.

So, the act of Rey suspecting another person, saved him the headache of having to defend his answer of not taking the drink.

With that, Rey turned in the direction of the door.

"Let me check if I can find something else from the other side for you to drink."

With that, Rey started leaving the bed chamber, and almost immediately, Jean threw himself in bed and sprawled.

A few moments later, Rey entered the Cabin area. He noticed that the three were embarked in watching their movie and the lady had left, only leaving the serious guy on the conference table.

The documents that had been spread on the table a while ago, were now returned in the briefcase and the briefcase was now lying in the middle of the table. During this moment, the serious guy had taken out his cellphone and was scrolling through it while leisurely leaning back in his seat.

The moment Rey stepped in the cabin area, he closed the door behind him and scanned the premises before focusing his gaze at the ugly guy.

Immediately he spotted the ugly guy, his expression darkened and without further hesitation, he lunged forward and moved towards him.

Since the three were busy watching the movie, none of them noticed Rey coming their way.

"Hey, you!"

Rey's angry voice echoed the moment he got to where the three were seated. Turning to his direction, the three looked at him with annoyed faces.

"What is it?"

The ugly guy was the first to ask.

"Come here, we need to talk"

Rey said in a relatively low tone as he shifted to the side.

"But you can still tell me what you want to tell me from here."

The ugly guy retorted.

At that moment, the tall guy chimed in.

"Go listen to what he wants to tell you."

The tall guy said as he shoved the ugly guy who was seated at the edge of the divan to the side.

With an annoyed face, the ugly guy reluctantly got to his feet and advanced towards Rey.

"Go ahead and tell me what you want to tell me, I have some important matters to attend to."

The ugly guy said while throwing glances at the other two who had now fixed their gazes on the screen in front of them.

At that moment, Rey lifted the bottle in his left hand in front of the ugly guy.

"I think you know what you did. So, I need you to tell me why you did this."

Rey said while glaring at the ugly guy.

"So, you are accusing me of drinking nothing?"

The ugly guy said with subtle exasperation clearly understanding what Rey was trying to imply.

"What do you mean nothing?"

Rey asked with a confused look.

"What I am trying to say is that I didn't drink that thing."

The ugly guy said nonchalantly.

With a snort, Rey shoved him to the side and left in anger.

'Why was I even wasting my time arguing with that idiot.'

With that thought, Rey accelerated, passed the conference area and advanced to the galley.

This act triggered the serious guy to lift his head and gaze in Rey's direction with a confused look. A few seconds later, he retracted his attention from Rey and focused on his cellphone in his hands.

Gazing at the disappearing figure of Rey, the ugly guy clicked his tongue and quickly joined the rest on the divan.

In the next moment, the three were excitedly watching their movie as if nothing had happened.

In the bed chamber…

Jean lied on bed on his back while gazing at the ceiling with a distant look.

'Now that I am certain that I am in the plane and from the howling of wind and subtle tremors, I can tell that it has been moving since the moment I woke up. There are high chances that I have travelled for a long distance. This gives me the urgency of figuring out how I am going to escape from them before they get me to a far place that can give me a hard time tracing my home.'

With that thought lingering in his mind, Jean felt restless. What piqued him was the fact that, even if he managed to save himself from the hands of these kidnappers, he would have the challenge of tracing his home because he didn't know how long they have travelled and where they were headed to.

Talking of where they were headed to, Jean immediately felt the need of asking Rey about the matter.

Considering the possibility of his foes having more back-up in their territories, he knew the best time to save himself was before they got to where they were headed.

So, the earlier he saved himself from the hands of his foes, the better.

With that thought, Jean immediately rose from bed and glanced in the direction of the closed door.

'I need to get out of here so that I can have access to the exit.'

Having searched through all the sections in the area he was in, Jean managed to discover that there was no exit in those areas. That left him with only a single conclusion, the exit was located in the cabin section.

Although he hadn't been there since he found himself in the plane, his intuition kept telling him that there was where the exit was located.

Tracing the exit is one thing, and using it was another thing. Given the fact that they were in a flying plane, he knew very well at the back of his mind that even if he managed to get to the exit and open it, using it was precarious. Unless special protective measures like parachutes were used.

'But I don't know how to use that. Even if I knew how to use it, how am I going to convince them to give it to me. This might just spoil everything as they would definitely figure out that I wanted to escape.'

Jean thought with a grim expression surfacing his face.

He wanted to escape, but his plans seemed fatal.

The main reason to why he didn't entertain the thought of allowing the kidnappers to take him to their territories, was because, he was almost clueless to why they kidnapped him.

A while ago, he had come up with various reasons to why he was kidnapped, but none of them was potent enough. This still left a room of doubt in his head about the reasons for his kidnap. And as a result, he felt dreadful for not being able to point out the exact reason.

The fact that he didn't know the aim for his kidnap, he felt allowing himself to be taken to the territories that Rey told him as suicidal.

'What if they want to kill me the way I interpreted Rey's statement of forgetting him?'

With that thought, Jean gritted his teeth and groaned. He didn't like that thought from the moment it first appeared in his head, but now that it had returned, he felt a pang of headache as he felt the strings of his heart being tagged.

It was not like he was tired of living, but the thought kept coming back whenever he thought about where they were headed.

'Damn it! Why did it had just to be me? Could this be my fate?'

A series of questions ran through Jean's head. Whenever he thought that they were approaching their destination with every passing second, he felt like exploding with rage.

He knew very well that what awaited him on the other end was nothing to be cheerful of. How can people who can tie you up, leave you hungry for hours be good people? There was no way a wolf could be referred to as a sheep.

Despite Rey acting friendly around him, he still knew that he was his enemy.

While Jean was still brainstorming on the matter at hand, the closed door flanged open, and in the next moment Rey stepped in the bed chamber and stopped after taking a couple of steps in.

Jean's gaze shifted towards Rey's hands the moment he saw him. Suddenly, his eyes widened, this was because Rey was not carrying anything in his hands.

Almost instantly, Rey let out a smile and looked at Jean straight in his eyes, forcing him to smile in return.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting. I know you must be wondering why we secluded you in this section. But just to let you know, we only did that to give you a perfect environment to recover. And now that you have recovered, I would like you to come take your coffee from the cabin section as I introduce you to my peers."

When Jean heard this, he was dumbstruck. He didn't believe that he was going to have access to the cabin section, where he believed the exit was located. He felt elated to the point of even forgetting Rey's previous statements about his recovery.

'This was the moment I was waiting for.'

Jean thought internally.

In the next moment, he got to his feet and approached Rey.

"Can we go?"

Jean asked with a smile.

A few seconds later, the duo walked through the door and entered the cabin area.
