The Council of Elders

As dawn broke, a soft light filtered through the trees, illuminating the path back to their camp. Erian and Lirien walked side by side, the weight of their revelations heavy upon their shoulders. The air was filled with the scent of damp earth and blooming wildflowers, but the beauty around them did little to ease their minds. They knew that time was short and that the Shadow Syndicate was rising.

Upon reaching the camp, they were greeted by their companions Kael, Aria, and Rowan who were already gathered around a crackling fire. The flickering flames cast long shadows, and the tension in the air was palpable. Erian could sense their unease, as if nature itself was bracing for an impending storm.

“Erian! Lirien! You’re back!” Kael exclaimed, relief washing over his features. But the joy quickly faded, replaced by concern. “What did you find?”
