The air crackled with tension as Erian and Lirien faced the cloaked figures, their eyes glowing like embers in the deepening twilight. The forest around them had grown eerily quiet, the usual sounds of rustling leaves and distant animals muted as if nature itself were holding its breath. Erian tightened his grip on his sword, heart racing, sensing the weight of destiny pressing down upon him.

“What do you want from us?” Erian demanded, his voice steady despite the fear coiling in his gut. The shadows around the figures seemed to pulse in response, deepening the darkness that enveloped them.

One of the figures stepped forward, its features obscured by the heavy cloak. “You seek knowledge of the Sacred Hearts, yet you are blind to the truth that binds your fates,” it hissed, its voice a blend of malice and mockery. “You are not merely defenders of the balance; you are pivotal players in an ancient prophecy.”
