Tying the lead

The physicality which was being displayed by Raphael was just stunning. In the whole of Krystal Fc, No one could match Aesop's jump power and ability to win headers. On the other hand, probably only The Guardian could match The Angel's shower's jump and physicality.

Thud!

Bice managed to win back the ball and he did so with a header that let Cai ran wild. Cai's speed allowed him to get through the first defender he met, but he was faced with a brick wall thereafter.

Stanley suddenly blocked him and Cai had to jump towards the side to avoid bumping his nose with Stanley's shoulder as that was sure to bring a lot of blood out of his nose.

As Cai fell to the floor, Stanley let the ball roll towards Rilety who caught it with ease. Riley passed the ball to Divine who controlled it stylishly. But instead of the crowd to cheer him, they were all silent, murmuring incessantly.

Huh? Is he stupid?

Hasn't he learnt enough?

How can he be so careless in the face of the Grid Lord?

And true to their murmurs and worries, Adrienne was beside him in a heart beat.

Divine's pupils first constricted, then his lips curled up into a smile as the ball was knocked off him.

Adrienne had barely taken two steps forward when Asher suddenly appeared in front of him. Adrienne furrowed his brows, he didn't know what they were thinking, but it was very obvious he had sighted Asher long ago.

Seemingly Seeing through Asher's plan, Adrienne swiftly evaded The purple haired Asher, but that had slowed him down and now...Riley was going to get the ball.

Neo sensed something wrong and he immediately turned around and raced homewards.

Adrienne! Return!

Riley cleared the ball and Adrienne was a bit disappointed. He turned around, only to see Asher in Krystal Fc's box. Staring at the ravaging attack that was currently taking place, reality dawned on Adrienne and he realized that it was all a ploy, all a ploy to get him away from his defense lines. and now, he was going to pay dearly. Adrienne raced homewards at full speed.

Neo gritted his teeth. Dammit! I knew that was their plan...

They used Divine Newton as a bait to draw Adrienne out, then they used Asher to distract him. By the time Adrienne managed to shake off Asher, he would have wasted enough time and Riley would get the ball first.

But before then, the moment Asher was apearing in front of Adrienne, that same moment, he would also be turning around and dashing forward, waiting for Riley to play his part effectiely.

And Riley had done exceedingly well, and the result is the surprise attack that Galaxy stars were carrying out right now.

They had totally used the Grid Lock against Adrienne. Knowing that the Grid Lock was sure to pick p Asher's movement, all they did was send in Asher to go stall Adrienne for a duration less than a second. Once Asher's job was completed, Asher immediately turned around and dashed forward, to go help in the attack.

The only threat they could possibly face right now was Neo who had somehow, seen through their ploy.

But Neo wasn't enough to stop them. Maybe if he teamed up with Adrienne and Lida and Liam, he could probably stand toe to toe with them. But now, he was alone and he could do nothing aganst them. Maybe if he ascended into that weird mode that he used in the match against Marbles, he could even be an overwhelming opponent to them. But right now, he stood no chance against the superhuman.

Destiny, Asher and Heath exchanged a few quick passes amongst each other and a second later...

Thump!

Destiny passed the ball into the net as he left Neo, Liam, Lida, Zuri and Eric on their knees.

GOAL!!!

As the ball went in, Adrienne who was only returning fell on the floor beside Neo. His despair and frustration was clear.

The scorewas now 3-3

Clap!

Destiny and Asher highfived each other, then Destiny turned and shot a condescending look at Neo who sat on the floor.

Neo shut his eyes as he took in deep breaths.

Destiny's voice was cold and devoid of the respect he ought to have when referring to Neo who was his senior.

Your team is trash, just get the hell out of this tournament. Oh and before you do, don't forget that...

...The Superhuman clockview is Supreme.

Neo's eyes shot open instantly. There was an ominous red ring around his pupils. The aura around Neo and the pressure he exuded had totally changed.

Neo stood up and he glanced at Asher before speaking.

You follow my orders now.

It was very unlike Neo to say such a thing, but hearing it from him, Adrienne didn't know why he suddenly remembered that Neo was older than him with a year. Adrienne swallowed nervously before replying...

Y..yes S..senior!
