Chapter 4

Pulling her hair up, she held her mom's gaze through the mirror, was she crying?.

" Mom". She called, letting go of her hair, queen ana smiles and placed a long kiss on her long hair.

" I still can't believe you're getting married, pumpkin, it feels like yesterday when I held you in my arms for the first time, and here you are all grown up, getting married leaving me.". Her next words died in her throat the minute Hazel stood up and hugged her, she loved her so much, she was her world.

" Oh God it isn't even your wedding day, and am already a mess".

" Honestly I'll be mad if you weren't a mess". Hazel whispered making us both laugh.

" You look beautiful". Queen ana whispered. " Am in my horse riding clothes I can't look beautiful in this". Hazel joked, making queen ana laugh. This where the times she wished she could pause time,but sadly she couldn't.

" Let's go before I makes us cry again". Queen ana whispered.

Walking into the throne room with Henry and Adam by His side, His eyes scanned the room, filled with his best men, men who he knew might be the last time he gets to see them.

"Something dangerous is coming". King Williams started.

" How dangerous". Sky asked, he was king Williams best, a fearless and tough warrior.

" Demons dangerous, and they are coming for something we can't ever let them get their hands on". King Williams continued, staring at their curious eyes.

" The key". He answered their unspoken, questions.

" The key, but that's nothing but a myth". A guard, said.

" Well unfortunately it's real, and we have, the demons are already on their way, a boundary spell would be put up, but if they get through, we protect our kingdom".

" Sky you're with me we stay and protect the queen and the princess". Henry ordered.

" Others out on a look at, they are easy to spot". He finished, and every one walked out except sky.

" Let's go protect the queen ". Sky said walking out and Henry followed.

King Williams watched them walked out his eyes narrowed, as he watched them.

" Do we have to do this?". Adam asked, his question snapping king Williams from his thought.

" I don't get". King Williams said playing dumb, and walking to his throne, staring at it.

" Why not just end all this?".

" I won't dragg my daughter into historical mess Adam, no matter what". His eyes narrowed at the crown.

Getting down from her horse she played with her, smiling she gave her an apple and watched her Munch on it, she was cute, Hazel thought.

" Having fun?". Turning she found Henry, she smiles and he placed a kiss on her lips she looks behind hoping her mom didn't see that, luckily she didn't she was occupied with sky.

"Do you have to do that". Hazel asked blushing.

"I couldn't help it". He mumbled, and she blush even harder, she frantically tried to not look at his eyes, and luckily something else caught her attention.

The harmed guards moving around, her mom worried gaze turns to her and Hazel smiles dies.

" What's going on?". Hazel asked.

" Nothing to worry about". He replied with a smile on his handsome face,like he couldn't be more tempting, but the chaos around , Hazel didn't notice it.

"Is everything alright sky?". Hazel asked, the minute her mom and sky walked over, but she was meant with just Silence, she suddenly felt scared, she didn't like where this was going.

"It's the demons ". Henry said, breaking the silence, Hazel looked around trying to make sense of what was just said.

"The demons?". She asked again.

" Look you don't have to worry about anything just be up in your room and safe, everything would be fine". Queen ana whispered.

"My lady". Eve was next to her, she wanted to say something anything but she couldn't find her voice.

" Eve, sky take her up she doesn't leave your sight". Queen ana ordered, staring at Henry, he nod's telling her to go.

" Why are the demons here?". Hazel asked, watching the guards run past her, this didn't look good.

" The demons requested for the key but his highness refused.". Eve explained,and Hazel blinked, a key?.

Walking into her room with Eve quietly only because she couldn't find her voice sitting on the bed she could see sky and some other people shadow's around her door

"My lady ". Eve called, only then did she realized she was lost in thoughts.

"Eve".

"Yes my lady".

"what key do they want". She wanted answers and for some reason she felt Eve could give her those answers , she looked at Eve , her eyes begging for an answer

"I .... I .... I don't know my lady". Eve stuttered , Hazel looked at her, and only one thought crossed her mind, why the demons?.

"I want to be alone eve" she said turning her back at Eve.

"My lady I can't..".

"Please eve I want to be alone".

"Okay my lady". And she left but Hazel knew she was just outside the door, she walked up to her window to look out side and she could see the gaurds everywhere, the weather looked like it would rain any minute, nothing about this made sense,this wasn't the first time they had war,but this was the first time the demons attached them.

From the books fighting them would be suside , they had powers, evil powers and are feared by all, but they mostly stay away from the world and when they fight a kingdom it was disaster, most kingdom doesn't even fight they just give up and surrender, so why would her father choose death sentence over a key, nothing about a key was mentioned in any of the books.

The room door opens she looks up and find her dad.

"Dad!". She walked up to him, hugging him.

"Dad is everything going to be okay?, what's going on?".

"Don't you worry pumpkin, everything is going to be just fine".

" Dad what key is this all about?".

" Nothing for you to worry about". King Williams words came out the same time Queen ana walked in.

" You both stay here, I'll be back". King Williams whispered, placing a kiss on both their foreheads, before walking out.

Hazel looked up to her mother's eyes and find that she was holding back , she was also scared but she wanted to be brave for her daughter, Hazel smiled and hugged her tight queen ana took her to bed and played with her hair.

"It's going to be okay my love everything is going to okay". Queen ana whispered and watched the darkness pulled Hazel.

Flashbacks.

" What happened?". Queen ana yelled watching king Williams place an unconscious five year old Hazel.

" She touched the key". King Williams whispered.

" What?". Queen ana asked, trying to understand any of this, sitting close to Hazel she holds, her tiny cold hands, and slowly watched her brown hair turn white.

" Williams". She called panicking, her fingers flew to Hazel, hair, turned white by the second, and her hands cold.

" Williams please do something". She yelled scared.

Hazel woke up to find her mom dead asleep close to her, she looked out her window and found it was already the dead of the night, and plus raining,she got up and tucked her mom in properly,she walked up to her door, to see if she could see the shadows of anyone,and like she expected she saw them.

"Eve!,Eve!". She whispered, but knew Eve could hear her, the door opened and Eve walked in.

"Yes my lady". She said the minute she walked in with some food. " My lady you must be starving". she puts down the food on the table, smiling at Hazel but Hazel wasn't hungry.

"Eve is there any news about everything, what's going on out there?". Hazel looked at her praying she says something good.

"No my lady nothing yet". Eve said while she sets the table.

"You should have some food my lady, you didn't have your lunch".

"Am not hungry eve".

"Am sure you are my lady just a bite,I put in a lot of effort to make it happen at least try it".She persuaded, Hazel looked over to her mother and then at her.

"it's not like you would give me a choice". She said And eve smiled, sitting down, she had a spoon of the soup, Eve was right it tasted delicious.

"My lady!" Eve called. " Yeah?".

" You don't have to worry about anything".

" Just hours and I have the lost count, of how many times I have been told that". Signing she close her eyes and took another mouth full of the soup, she had to admit it was tasty, like always, but she couldn't enjoy it, she stared at the food ,and then heard some noise outside the door , it opened and sky walked in.

"Sky is there anything about lord Henry or my father?".

She asked but he just stared at her blankly, she looked at eve and then at sky again.

"Sky are you okay?". She asked but not fast enough as the dagger he throw at her that misses her, only by an inch and lands at the wall behind her,and just when he was about to lunch towards her again he suddenly stops, Hazel eyes caught a dagger move out of him,and he's body fell forward and his killer was queen Ana.

Hazel let out a breath she didn't know she held, and Eve somehow forgot how to breath, queen ana walked towards hazel and hugged her.

"Honey are you okay?, Are you hurt anywhere?". Hazel couldn't speak but just nodded, she couldn't understand anything that just happened, why would sky attack her, but reality decides to play a game,sky and some gaurds walked in.

"Sky?".Hazel mumbled,wasn't he dead?.

"My queen is everything alright?". He asked, but his words where stopped, when Eve hands where on his neck , making him drop down on his knees, and he looked like he was in pain.

" Eve don't". Queen ana yelled making Eve stop whatever she was doing and took a step back, and sky taking in deep breaths.

" Where, where you?". Queen ana asked.

"I... I went out to check something and when I came back I found the gaurds on the floor dead but not a single scratch on their body".sky explained still trying to caught his breath for whatever, eve did to him.

"Then if you are alive and real, that means this sky is a demon". Eve stated.

Hazel could only listen to eve in silence, she knew demons had powers but she did know they could clone someone,or go anyway without be noticed now she knew father was in trouble.

"Honey". She heard her mom voice

"Mom, dad's is going to be okay right?". She asked , her a whisper but she knew they could hear her, she stared at her mom waiting for an answer but she just smiled,and Hazel knew she only did that just because she didn't want to lie to her.

And Hazel just realized how deep trouble they are in.
