She only remembered that Burgess had confined her to his home, where he had protected her well. She felt like she liked this so-called older brother.

So, disregarding her pregnancy, she repurchased a plane ticket to Manhattan to find Burgess.

That day, she almost returned to Manhattan. Fortunately, at the airport, she saw a picture of Burgess and Zoey together at a banquet, which reminded her that they had broken up.
