Chapter 166

Della’s POV

My heart skipped a beat upon hearing his words.

I couldn’t help but be stunned by that, and my heart uncontrollably beat faster afterward.

Was he confessing his feeling towards me?

It wasn’t his exact words, and yet that’s what I could feel from the gentleness of his tone and the obvious usage of his words which seemed unusual between ordinary friends.

“Thank you, Albert,” I replied, deciding to keep a blind eye and deaf ears at what he wanted to convey.

In my heart, he’d always be my friend. Besides, for now, my top priority is my pup. My relationships and situation had just became more chaotic and with Albert being a really good friend of mine, I didn’t want to involve him further on it.

After a few more words, I ended the call.

“Your heart beat faster at that! Don’t deny it!” Trisha pointed out, and I kept silent.

“Speak up!” Trisha pushed.

Annoyed, I fixed my position and crossed my arms before replying at my wolf, “What do you want to say exactly?”
