As their eyes pulled away from each other, Stella’s eyes briefly shifted to the entrance where I came in.


She was about to look away but realized that it was me. Glint showed in her eyes and a bright smile formed in her lips as she grabbed hold of Ralph’s hand, pulling him toward me.


“Della! You came!” Stella excitedly said.


Smiling, I replied, “I said I would, didn’t I?”
