"I have to speak to him somehow," Rylan said urgently the moment he returned to the Pendragon palace. "He has to know this."
"But he won't let you in. He has been quiet in that chamber for four months now. We no longer hear his cries or sounds of things being scattered. I am worried he's done something to himself," Zane said as they all gathered in the dining hall to talk about how to get to Lucian.
They all knew Lucian couldn't die of dehydration or starvation as he wasn't human, however it was still detrimental to his health to remain locked away for so long.
"What did you find out?" Alden asked curiously, as Rylan had been gone for months now and only returned this morning with an urgent air around him. He looked to be in a terrible state with dark circles around his eyes like someone who had not slept for days, his hair tangled and a curly mess on his head.
