Darling.

"What did you say?" Dexter threatened, but the cashier was so oblivious, she dared answer his question!

"Oh, I mean, the previous miss, Mr. Kings! You were not smiling this much with her but with the new young miss—"

"Ehem…"

With the bagger clearing his throat as he continued to put the items in the box, the cashier now realized that she indeed said something wrong, making her put her hand on her mouth as her eyes widened the moment she noticed that she said something so insensitive.

"M-Mr. Kings…"

The cashier stopped for a moment, knitting her brows in worry as she quickly apologize."

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to say it this way! I—"

"Do you want to keep your job by chattering? Or do you want me to end your misery by firing you from your job right here and then?"

Without raising her body and with the other employees feeling bad for the cashier, the woman keep apologizing .

All of them knew that he brought the previous miss here years ago and since they broke up, it was taboo talking about her.

But this cashier, because of being a chatter-box, she completely forgot that fact, making her feel nervous if she was to stay with her job or lose it tonight!

"Enough." Dexter interrupted, his voice snappy. "From now on, you—"

"Darling…"

Surprising everyone near them as they watched Luna on what she did to Dexter, she tiptoed and pulled his arm down, making him bend as she put a kiss on his cheek.

With Luna letting him go, she gave him a smile as she looked at the Dexter straight in the eyes, standing up for the cashier as well by doing her best to calm Dexter down.

"Don't ruin our night. They did say they're sorry—and hearing what they said made me realize how much I make you happy."

With that said, Dexter blinked his eyes, the way how Luna calmly addressed to him as "darling," ringing in his ears with the soft sensation of her kiss felt on his cheek.

Luna took out her card, asking a favor from the bagger as well.

"Can you bring the groceries in the garage and put it in the car, please? Coordinate with the guard, I need to calm this man by my side. Thank you!"

With them being addressed by the young miss, the bagger immediately bowed and did as he was told, the cashier teary-eyed as she looked at Luna.

With that, Luna grabbed Dexter by the arm, already away from the grocery. As she left their groceries in the care of the bagger, Luna sighed then released the Dexter, now turning her body to look at him.

"Are you alright?" she asked, furrowing her brows. "You almost lost your cool there," she added, Dexter, still blinking his eyes at Luna.

"Dexter?" Luna now arched a brow at him. Luna observed Dexter's mood as she took him out of the mall.

"Nothing. Get in!" Dexter said.

-----

The evening sunset cast a pink glow over the city, giving it a warm and inviting atmosphere. She couldn't see Dexter's face clearly, but the sunset colored his hair golden. She felt an indescribable feeling within her; her heart started to race. It was undeniable Dexter was a sensible and mature man. There weren't many men like him, even less those that stood at the top of the food chain. Luna couldn't believe she had bagged this man as her husband.

Remembering the scene she wanted to ask him if he had ever liked someone or why did they break up but she stopped herself. Because she knew Dexter might not answered her in a good way.

When they returned to Mason Garden, Luna was quick on her feet. She started to busy herself the moment she entered the house while Dexter sent some emails from the couch in the living room.

Luna occasionally glance toward the living room. His expression remainded bitter.

A delicious aroma wafted from the kitchen shortly came out with some dishes.

"Time to eat," she called out.

Soon Dexter joined the table.

She placed the deboned fish on Dexter's plate. "Why don't you try this fish I cooked and tell me how it tastes?"

Dexter finished the salmon Luna had placed on his plate while wearing a straight face.

She propped up her chin with one hand and asked anticipatingly, "Does the fish taste good?"

"Yes."

"What's wrong with the reaction?"

Luna was speechless with his reaction. She somehow dug her own grave and suddenly asked, "Is your sister went somewhere? I didn't see her from that day."

Dexter gaze darkened in an instant. "She is in Aunty's place." he replied.

Luna pursed her lips. "Oh" She then paused. "Do you want to have more?"

He replied. "Sure."

There was a complete after that. Luna went to do the dishes after dinner, while the men went to the study room.

Next day

Luna was doing the calculations on the figures, a stack of documents was dropped on her workspace with a thud.

She raised her head, only to see that an infuriated Elsie was glaring at her.

"What's the matter?" Luna pulled her chair while she calmly asking.
