with another man.

"Oh, you are aware that the project is handled by both of us as well, right? I heard that you had a meeting this morning." A scowl appeared on Elsie's face that was with heavy make-up and her eyes seemed like they were about to shoot fire.

"Elsie, I heard that you took a leave. As we had to submit the final draft tomorrow...." Luna tried to explained calmly.

"Enough! You are the leader of Team A and I am the leader of Team B, so both of us share the same position in the company! Luna, your behavior has disrespected the company's management".

Upon seeing more colleagues coming over to watch the commotion, a hint of jealousy and hatred flashed across Elsie's eyes.

"Elsie, I called you but you didn't picked up. Even if I waited for you, do you think that they would have waited for us." Luna said.

"I know you well, Luna." A smug look appeared on her face, "You even seduced Manager Robert...so sad that now he is your sister fiancee."

"Have you said enough?!" Luna couldn't control and landed a slap on Elsie's face.

The clear sound of a slap rang in the room. Everyone's eyes widened in shock.

Unbelieving, Elsie held her cheek and screeched, "How dare you slap me!"

"That's because you deserve it. Watch your mouth. It won't be just a slap the next time," Luna replied as she scanned the room.

It was a warning for all who were wagging their tongues about her.

Everyone was shocked to see that. It was rare to see Luna, usually soft-spoken, lose her temper.

"You– Luna, just you wait. I will make you pay."

With that, Elsie left, and the crowd dispersed.

After calming down, Luna went back to work. When Luna finished her work, she stretched and looked at the time. It was almost time to get off work.

She logged on to message app and saw Myra had made a new post.

It was a picture of barbecue. Obviously, she was barbecuing A message from Myra came in.

"Pretty girl, do you have time to have a barbecue?"

-----

"Luna, come here. Glad to meet you!" Myra waved at her. Luna dashed over to Sloane, only to find out she wasn't alone.

"Austin, why are you here?" Luna was shocked when she saw him.

Austin grinned as he saw her stunned. "Aren't you glad to see me?"

His comments made Luna laugh. "How can I deny you, Austin? It would be more fun to have barbecue with more friends."

"Are you alright? You seem exhausted." Myra asked.

Austin was filling Luna's glass with water, when he realised what Myra said, the expression on his face change.

"Did you fight with Dexter?"

"No" Luna denied quickly. "I am just tired." She smiled.

Austin had just returned from a month-long trip abroad. Luna's marriage surprised him. He couldn't believe what he heard.

"Luna, tell me what's wrong?" Myra fixed her gaze on Luna.

"Okay" Luna rolled her eyes. She quickly summarized the whole story to Myra and Austin.

"How dare she? But where did that rumours come from?" Myra face turned red.

"I don't know." Luna picked the bottle.

"Do you want me to talk with that girl?" Austin proposed a toast.

Luna flinced and, for the first few moments, was rendered speechless.

"Thank you but I will deal with it a-and it's not a big deal."

"Give her number!" Myra took out her phone.

"Myra!! Give it a rest. I will deal it." Luna sighed.

"Okay. Tell me if she talk nonsense again. I will tear her mouth." Myra clenched her teeth as she stood up.

"Okay. Sit!" Luna tear a thin smile.

The three drank beers one after another. Unbeknownst to them, Luna had already drunk too much.

A black Cayenne passed by and stopped. Sitting in the back seat, Dexter frowned as he looked at Luna, who was sitting in a stall across the road, drinking a glass of beer. She was draped across the man sitting next to her and from the looks of it, she seemed drunk. Dexter recognized the man whose arms were around Luna's shoulder. It was quite obvious that Austin had feelings for Luna.

"Mr. Kings, is that… Miss Jones?" Lance said to Dexter in disbelief, his gaze still trained on the spectacle in the stall. He didn't even dare to turn around and look at the man he was asking and he had his reasons.

As soon as Dexter had told him to stop the car, Lance had clearly felt the temperature in the car drop, chilling him to his marrow.

of course, Dexter had told Lance to stop the car because he had recognized Luna.

He was certainly displeased to see Luna being held intimately by another man, irrespective of the fact that she was obviously drunk.

"Mr. Kings, do you want me to go and…?"

Before Lance could even finish, Dexter had already opened the door of the car and was heading towards the stall, determination clearly written all over his body.
