Not far away, Diamante and Trebol shouted in shock, their faces filled with disbelief.
They knew exactly what Rosinante was like in the past; he had never had such overwhelming power.
Forget about Conqueror's Haki; even his mysterious Devil Fruit ability had caught Doflamingo off guard, dealing him a heavy blow.
In the blink of an eye, the situation had flipped completely. The man they once saw as invincible—Doflamingo—was pinned beneath Rosinante.
"Fufufufufu! How interesting. You've truly surprised me, Rosinante."
Despite being held down, Doflamingo's eyes showed no hint of panic. Instead, he chuckled.
"I admit it! You've finally gained enough power to make me take you seriously!"
His words echoed through the air, but his composed demeanour made a flicker of doubt flash in Rosinante's eyes.
"What are you relying on? Your heart will be silenced as long as I move my hand even slightly. Doffy, at this point, what gives you the confidence to act so arrogant?" Rosinante's gaze turned ice-cold as he shouted.
"What gives me confidence?"
Lying there, Doflamingo seemed to have given up resisting, but his tone remained lighthearted, and the usual smirk played at his lips.
"Did you really think you're the only one who has awakened their Devil Fruit?"
A voice came from behind him, making Rosinante's expression change instantly.
He snapped his gaze downward—only to see that the Doflamingo beneath him had suddenly transformed into a puppet made entirely of meticulously woven and stitched threads.
"You don't understand me, Corazon… just as I don't quite understand you anymore." Doflamingo's voice drifted through the air.
At the same time, countless white threads surged up from the ground, converging like a tidal wave and crashing toward Rosinante's back.
He swiftly dodged, leaping onto the rooftop and looking down below. Then, he saw something shocking.
Everything around where Doflamingo stood was transforming into strings, turning into weapons completely under his control.
"You're not unique! Did you think that just because you've gained a little power, you could stand before me and talk big and overturn the dynamic between us?"
"How naïve!"
Doflamingo swung his hand. A massive wave of white threads sharpened into an arc, stabbing fiercely toward Rosinante on the rooftop.
"Boom!"
Rosinante jumped high as the white threads struck the building, sending dust flying in all directions.
Diamante and Trebol, shocked, hurriedly retreated. They realized this battle wouldn't be confined to just one area—its impact could engulf all of Rubeck.
"Buzz!"
Mid-air, Rosinante clenched his fist. Silent ripples coiled around it. Then, he swung his fist downward with force.
Countless waves of strings rushing toward him shattered under the impact, shaking as they fell to the ground.
Doflamingo narrowed his eyes and stepped forward. Everywhere his feet touched, everywhere his hands brushed, the surroundings transformed into a white ocean of strings, completely under his control.
He raised one finger and suddenly pointed to the sky.
"Buzz!"
The strings on the ground shifted, twisting and surging toward Rosinante, aiming to bind him.
Rosinante stepped repeatedly in mid-air, ripples forming beneath his feet. Then, he threw a punch.
"Bang!"
Countless white threads snapped apart, losing their vitality under the force of his Silent Fist.
The next moment, his figure blurred, shifting positions and appearing above Doflamingo. He launched another punch downward.
"Buzz!"
Invisible ripples spread, crashing toward the ground.
"You're not to be underestimated!" Muttering to himself, Doflamingo suddenly curled his fingers.
Suddenly, countless threads shot forth, intertwining into a barrier before him.
"Shield White Thread!"
Rosinante's Silent Fist struck the threads, rendering them lifeless as they trembled and fell away. Doflamingo's body was yanked backward.
Then, with a leap, he, too, ascended into the air. Behind him, countless white threads surged like ocean waves.
They rapidly condensed into thousands of thick strands, their tips sharpening into deadly points. Those thousands of threads darkened in Armament Haki in a flash.
"Fufufufufu!"
"A battle between brothers... Who will be the man that stands atop this era, Rosinante?"
As he laughed, the thousands of hardened threads shot forward at terrifying speed, piercing through the air from above and both sides, locking onto Rosinante.
"Thousand Arrows: Feather Strike Thread!"
In an instant, Rosinante's path was completely sealed, leaving him no room to escape.
"Huff."
His pupils slightly contracted before he took a deep breath. There was no doubt—this was a lethal strike.
The Armament-coated threads had even greater destructive power, demonstrating Doflamingo's mastery in fusing his Haki with his Devil Fruit abilities.
The String-String Fruit may have seemed unimpressive initially, but in Doflamingo's hands, it had been developed to an extraordinary level.
"Impressive." Muttering to himself, Rosinante's eyes suddenly flashed with a sharp light. "But I'm not bad either!"
His gaze hardened, and at that moment, a ring of dark purple-black light radiated outward, instantly covering a thousand-meter radius.
"Silent Death Domain." His voice was calm as he spoke those four words. Paired with his icy expression, it was as if a demon had descended.
Centred around him, a vast circular area fell into absolute silence. There was no sound, no vibration. This was an extension of his Silent Domain—creating an area where all movement ceased.
Here, even living beings could hardly survive. Their bodily vibrations and vitality would be suppressed to the extreme.
At the same time, any attack entering this space would be exponentially weakened. It was, without a doubt, his strongest shield and the Silent Fist was his sharpest spear!
The thousands of Haki-infused threads pierced into the domain in an instant—yet the moment they entered, their speed drastically slowed.
However, due to their Armament Haki reinforcement, they still maintained their power.
They continued pushing forward—until they were just a meter away from Rosinante. Then, like wilting plants, their tips went limp and fell uselessly to the ground.
"Fufufufufu! Incredible, my dear little brother." Doflamingo's pupils shrank as he chuckled lowly. A glint flashed across his sunglasses, but his thoughts grew heavy inwardly.
Undoubtedly, the attack he had just launched was one of his most powerful techniques. Yet, it had failed to affect Rosinante in the slightest.
That meant one thing—Rosinante's power was now on par with his own.
"Arashi wasn't acting on a whim! He went to Minion Island specifically to save me!" Rosinante roared.
His body suddenly moved. Ripples spread in the space ahead, and the void seemed to freeze. He dashed forward as if running through an invisible corridor.
"Silent Corridor!"
Using the principles of vibration suppression, he created a passage in mid-air, distinct from the surrounding space.
In the blink of an eye, he appeared directly before Doflamingo, throwing a punch.
Doflamingo dodged while the Haki-coated white threads behind him stabbed downward—but Rosinante neutralized them individually.
"Now! Tell me your choice! Doffy!"
Rosinante suddenly extended both hands as if grasping the fabric of space itself. Doflamingo's pupils contracted.
His Observation Haki warned him—something was different. Rosinante's hands were seizing the space before him.
"Will you remain the King of Dressrosa, the Heavenly Yaksha of the Seven Warlords? Or will you submit and become nothing more than a soldier under Arashi's command?" Rosinante roared.
His fingers curled as if gripping the tangible essence of the void itself. Sweat dripped from his forehead. His entire body trembled violently.
Even though he had awakened the Silent-Silent Fruit, executing such a large-scale, high-impact technique still pushed his limits.
Even using this ability might come with a heavy price. But none of that mattered—Rosinante believed it was all worth it!
With Arashi gone, everything he built had to be protected by someone, and that responsibility fell on him.
"Do you have to go this far? Rosinante!" Doflamingo's pupils shrank as a dangerous aura loomed over him, his expression turning grim.
"You have no choice, Doflamingo!" Rosinante roared. His fingers trembled violently, and in that instant, the air around them shook.
Faintly, visible cracks formed in space itself. "He... he cracked the void!" Diamante shouted in horror, looking up at the sky.
"No, it's not just cracking! He's using the power of the Silent-Silent Fruit to create countless dead-silent spaces, severing them from reality!" Doflamingo's heart pounded.
"This brat has such terrifying potential?!" For the first time, Doflamingo felt real danger—as if he had already set foot in death's domain.
"Fuffuffuffuffu!" He let out a dark laugh."You've truly surprised me, Corazon!"
"If you're willing to stake everything just for an answer...Then I'll give you one!"
Laughter echoed as Doflamingo's eyes flashed red, a hint of madness in his gaze. His pride would not allow him to lose to the man standing before him.
"Let me teach you the respect one should have when facing their elder brother!"
As soon as the words fell—
"BOOM!"
From the ground, sixteen massive white threads, coated in high-density Armament Haki, tore through space and shot toward Rosinante at lightning speed.
Sixteen Holy Bullets: God Thread Eradication!
This was Doflamingo's strongest attack, the pinnacle of his destructive power. But at that moment, Rosinante's gaze turned ice-cold. With both hands, he suddenly pulled downward.
"CRACK!"
The air shattered, revealing deep fractures in space itself. Their eyes met—both filled with icy determination and madness.
A battle between brothers could only end with one victor. Suddenly, a streak of light shot through the void, instantly appearing between them.
"You two...Are you trying to destroy this entire island?"
A deep voice rang out, followed by an overwhelming, terrifying aura—one both familiar and oppressive.
The sky abruptly darkened, turning a deep shade of black and red. In that instant, both men were completely overwhelmed.
They could not move. They could not resist. Their bodies and wills were utterly suppressed. Both turned sharply to look at the figure standing before them.
The sky remained black and red. The aura was like a monstrous tsunami, crashing over them repeatedly.
This level of Conqueror's Haki—they had only ever felt it from one person. Rosinante's eyes widened in shock.
Excitement flashed across his face. Doflamingo, on the other hand, recalled a past terror. His expression turned dreadfully grim.
"He's... still alive?!" Behind his sunglasses, his eyes flickered with both shock and fear. This was beyond anything he had anticipated.
A man who had disappeared for over ten years—one locked away in Impel Down—now stood before him again.
What had happened? What was the truth from a decade ago? Why now, of all times?
Countless questions flooded Doflamingo's mind, suffocating him with uncertainty.
If there was anyone in this world he never wanted to face again, aside from that ruler of the New World...
It would be this man.
Even after all these years, despite his growth in power, he had no confidence in winning against him.
The towering, muscular figure before him was like an insurmountable mountain in his life, standing in his path, impossible to overcome.
"That man is...?!"
Diamante and Trebol exchanged glances on the ground, their faces filled with disbelief and fear.
They knew him. They remembered the terror from over a decade ago. Back then, the entire Donquixote Family had been annihilated by this man alone.
The battle ended swiftly and decisively. They had not even been able to put up a fight.
"Arashi!!" Doflamingo spat out the name, his face twisting in dread.
"Commander Arashi!" Unlike Doflamingo, Rosinante was overwhelmed with excitement.
"You've gained even more power over the years...It seems you haven't slacked off at all, Rosinante," Arashi remarked, his tone conveying nostalgia.
Ten years had passed—like the changing of the tides. The young ones from back then had now grown into formidable warriors.
Even the awakening of Rosinante's Silent-Silent Fruit had left Arashi surprised.
He could sense it clearly—this Devil Fruit's awakened destruction was no less terrifying than the Quake-Quake Fruit.
One fruit could send everything into violent tremors. The other could silence all tremors completely. They were two extremes. Two ultimate forces that opposed each other.
Rosinante nodded, his excitement undeniable. Arashi gave a small smile before slowly shifting his gaze toward Doflamingo. His eyes turned razor-sharp.
"You've done well for yourself over the years. Doflamingo."
Doflamingo's expression subtly changed. His guard rose instinctively. A heavy silence filled the air before he let out a chilling laugh.
"Fuffuffuffuffu! A man of your stature, disappearing for over a decade... only to suddenly return now."
"In history, the only person who escaped Impel Down's Great Prison was Golden Lion Shiki!" Doflamingo's gaze darkened.
"Even then, he lost both of his legs in the process. But you... you seem to be in even better condition than before."
"I have to wonder what happened to you in those ten years? Or rather... Would you be willing to tell me what unexpected event occurred back then?"
His words made Rosinante's excitement fade. Even he felt a flicker of curiosity. Doflamingo's intelligence network was terrifying.
The fact that he even had clues about Arashi's whereabouts over the past decade was something few in the world knew.
"You seem to know quite a bit," Arashi said, raising an eyebrow with a faint smile. He was smiling, but the aura radiating from his body grew even more oppressive.
The entire sky above Mock Town turned pitch black and red. His Haki swallowed light itself. The entire island trembled violently, warping under the pressure.
"But I have no reason to explain anything...To a traitor." As he spoke, his gaze turned ice-cold. At the same time, wings unfurled behind him.
Black flames seemed to ignite with a single flap, causing ripples to spread through the void itself. Seeing this, Doflamingo's pupils shrank violently.
Instinctively, he reacted. The attack he had paused earlier changed targets, instantly firing toward the man before him. His eyes gleamed with madness.
"Ten years! I refuse to believe that I still have no power to resist you! The shadows of the past...Will be erased today!"
His bloodshot eyes burned with determination. Doflamingo's body tensed, and with a single motion—
"BOOM!"
The ground exploded. Countless high-density Armament Haki-coated strings surged forward like an unstoppable tide.
But to his horror, Arashi moved at an unimaginable speed. Not a single attack could land on him. "So...You're quite confident in your growth, right?"
"Then let me see how much you've improved under my past teachings!" Arashi spoke calmly.
His wings gave a slight tremor, and space itself seemed to fold. In the blink of an eye, he appeared before Doflamingo.
Clenching his right fist, he swung it forward without any unnecessary movements.
Doflamingo's pupils contracted, his eyes flashing red as he stretched both hands back.
Countless strings gathered and intertwined in his palms before he thrust them forward.
"Overheat Strangle Whip!" Their fierce attacks clashed head-on.
"Boom!"
The air trembled as shockwaves burst forth, surging diagonally downward toward Mock Town.
Almost instantly, fifteen buildings severalkilometress away were sliced in half by the impact, sending dust clouds into the air.
The pedestrians on the streets froze in fear, and after about two seconds of silence, panicked screams erupted one after another.
Crocodile and the others were walking down the street when the sudden chaos unfolded.
A serious expression flashed across their faces as they looked up at the sky. Two figures stood there, locked in combat.
"Doflamingo!" Smoker said in a low voice.
"Heh!" Crocodile let out a cold chuckle.
The group remained standing in the middle of the street, watching in silence as the battle continued above while the civilians fled in terror.
In the sky, Arashi's white cloak fluttered in the wind. Feeling the Haki surging from his opponent's attack, he let out a small smile.
"You've mastered Ryuo Haki quite well."
Doflamingo's face darkened. After about two seconds of deadlock, his body flew back several hundred meters.
"That's a skill you personally taught me!!" he shouted.
Behind him, more than a dozen thick, razor-sharp threads wrapped in high-density Armament Haki emerged again.
"Whoosh!"
The Haki-infused threads shot toward Arashi at incredible speed.
Arashi chuckled lightly. He flapped his wings, hovering effortlessly in the air. His sharp eyes locked onto the incoming attack.
Then, he took a deep breath.
"Woo woo woo woo!"
A deep, resonant sound echoed as everyone below watched in shock. His chest expanded rapidly like a balloon being inflated.
But it didn't stop there—his entire body swelled as if absorbing immense air.
Arashi's form expanded to over fifty meters in the blink of an eye, his head appearing relatively small.
From a distance, he resembled a giant fish floating in the sky. At that moment, the dozen or so threads reached him.
"Whoosh!"
Arashi exhaled sharply.
A massive burst of compressed air was unleashed from his body, forming a devastating air cannon that blasted forward.
"Boom!"
In an instant, the two forces collided. The high-density Haki-coated threads were completely obliterated.
But the air cannon's power didn't stop there—it tore through the air at incredible speed, heading straight for Doflamingo.
"What?!"
Doflamingo's eyes widened in disbelief. He had never expected that simply inhaling and exhaling could generate such a powerful force.
What kind of ability was this?! On instinct, he crossed his arms before him, rapidly weaving countless strings into a white shield.
"Boom!"
The air cannon slammed into the string shield, shattering it instantly. The blast then struck Doflamingo's arms.
"Pfft!"
In an instant, Doflamingo's eyes widened as he coughed up a mouthful of blood.
His body was violently thrown backward, tumbling thousands of meters before crashing into the jungle below Mock Town.
He rolled and skidded, smashing through dozens of trees before finally coming to a halt, gasping for breath.
By now, he was battered and bleeding, his sunglasses shattered. A look of shock and disbelief filled his face.
"A Zoan-type Devil Fruit?! This man... could he be...?" Doflamingo was in utter shock. A wielder of multiple Devil Fruit powers!
This was the first time he had seen such a thing—it defied all conventional logic.
Moreover, judging by how Arashi's body expanded, inhaling and compressing nearly a kilometre of air before releasing it as a devastating cannon blast, it was clear that this was no ordinary Zoan-type fruit.
It had to be an immensely powerful Mythical Zoan! But what exactly were its abilities?
"If this is all you have," Arashi said calmly, looking down from above. "Then this battle is already over." His right fist clenched slowly.
Black and red lightning crackled around it, radiating an ominous aura.
Doflamingo lifted his head, staring at the black and red sky. He looked at the terrifying figure before him, his eyes filled with madness and rage.
Gritting his teeth, he clenched his fists tightly. A domineering aura surged from his body, spreading outward.
Though vastly weaker than Arashi's, it stubbornly carved out its space.
"Of course, it's not just this!! What you taught me wasn't just Ryuo and Awakening!"
"Fuffuffuffuffu!"
As he laughed wildly, purple-black lightning flickered around him. His Haki surged violently, growing stronger.
"I still can't fully control it... and it doesn't always work when I want it to! But right now!!"
His eyes widened sharply. Behind him, more than a dozen strings soared into the sky, now crackling with purple-black lightning.
"I can't afford to hold back anymore!!"
With a furious roar, Doflamingo launched himself into the air, charging toward Arashi with everything he had.
He would erase the humiliation of the past. With the power in his hands, he would defeat this man once and for all!
Even the faintest light dares to challenge the sun!
