Chapter 3. The invaders

After a few hours the wound of the intruders who had fallen from the hill during the fights began to heal, and one of them woke up and looked around he saw there were only two of them remaining. "Hey, wake up! We have to find her before it's too late," he instructed as he wake the other who was still healing up

After they completed their healing they prepared to move, they were suddenly surrounded by a group of armed men " why the rush and Where do you think you're going?" the leader of the armed men demanded and he walked closer to them.

Confusion clouded the intruders' faces as they faced the imposing figure before them. "Who are you?" one of them questioned.

"I am Christopher, the head of the village guard. Now, will you tell me who you are too and what you're doing here in our village? I can tell you're not one of our villagers," Christopher replied, his tone authoritative.

One of the intruders, who was full of anger and impatience, attempted to transform and attack the guards. But Christopher quickly intervened,

"Oh wait didn't be in so much rush, and didn't even try anything stupid Everyone here is holding a silver weapon that can kill you once, you are a werewolf I recognize one once i see it"

Christopher said as he see the way the two Werewolf are making their moves

warming him of the danger posed by the silver weapons wielded by the guards.

Realizing the futility of their situation, one of the intruders spoke up, claiming they meant no harm and were only seeking a woman. "Very well, no harm done. You'll explain yourselves to the village chief when you're interested ," Christopher declared, ordering their arrest.

The two werewolves were then taken away, escorted to the village chief's house where they were presented in chains. Christopher instructed them to wait as he summoned the chief.

After a brief wait, the village chief, a man in his early thirties, entered the room. "Chief, you're welcome," Christopher greeted respectfully, acknowledging the chief's presence.

The chief's expression was one of concern and curiosity as he addressed the intruders. "What did you say they are, and how did they enter our village?" he inquired, his tone tinged with apprehension.

"Bryan, you have to remain calm. Don't let them see fear in your eyes. You know they're not humans," Christopher advised, moving closer to the village chief and whispering in his ear.

"Okay, no problem," Bryan replied, steeling himself for the conversation ahead.

Approaching the werewolves, Bryan took a seat in front of them, studying them closely. Though he had never encountered werewolves or vampires before, he had heard tales of their existence.

"Who are you, and what are you doing in my land? How did you cross the village border barrier spell?" Bryan questioned, his voice tinged with concern.

"We are warriors of Lord Dawson Caden, the hybrid," one of the werewolves responded.

At the mention of Dawson Caden's name, Bryan's heart skipped a beat. He knew of Dawson Caden, the infamous hybrid who was both feared and reviled for his actions.

"Why are you here, and how did you break the village border barrier spell?" Bryan pressed, his worry mounting.

"We didn't break the spell. It was the person we're after, Mia, who broke it with a divine flower. We came after her," the intruder explained.

"Mia, a vampire?" Bryan repeated, his mind racing with the implications of their presence.

"Are you the only three in our village?" Bryan inquired.

"Yes, we're the remaining ones. My comrade was killed by Mia, a villager of yours who aided her," the intruder admitted.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, Bryan stood and approached Christopher, his mind whirring with possibilities.

"They're only three of them. Let's take out these two and find the other vampire. Our village will be safe without any further issues," Bryan whispered urgently to Christopher.

But before they could act, one of the intruders issued a chilling warning. "Don't try to kill us, or you'll bring harm to your villagers," he threatened.

Bryan was taken aback by the boldness of his words but squared his shoulders, refusing to yield to intimidation.

"Why should I listen to you and your threats?" Bryan challenged, his voice steady despite the rising tension.

"Because Lord Dawson Caden is on his way to your village. I think you know what he's capable of," the intruder replied ominously, sending a shiver down Bryan's spine.

Bryan's smile faltered as the intruder's words sank in. Panic surged within him as he realized the gravity of the situation. Hurriedly, he made his way back to Christopher, seeking counsel in the face of impending danger.

"What do we do now? We're in trouble," Bryan admitted, his voice tinged with urgency.

Christopher met his gaze steadily. "You're the leader. You have to make the decision," he replied, placing the weight of responsibility squarely on Bryan's shoulders.

After a moment of silence and contemplation, Bryan returned to confront the intruders once more.

"What do you want?" Bryan demanded, his tone firm.

"We want you to help us find the girl, Mia. If you do, Lord Dawson will reward you handsomely when he arrives," the intruder stated bluntly.

"And how am I supposed to help you find someone I don't even know?" Bryan countered, his brows furrowing in frustration.

"There was a boy in the village who aided the girl. If we can find him, we can find her. They're likely together," the intruder explained.

"A boy? What does he look like?" Bryan inquired, a sinking feeling settling in his stomach.

"He's tall, with long hair, and he looks like a farmer. But there's something about him— he's remarkably strong," the intruder recalled, pausing as if a memory had suddenly surfaced. "And he wears a bracelet necklace," he added.

After the intruder had finished describing a boy, Bryan walked over to Christopher and looked him in the eyes.

"With that description, there is only one person in the village with a bracelet necklace," Christopher said.

"Brian? My brother," Bryan replied. "What is he thinking? Why would he do such a thing?" Bryan asked.

"What are we going to do now?" Christopher asked, looking confused. "We have to find Brian to know what is going on," Christopher suggested.

Bryan sat down, looking confused and contemplating the weight of what his brother was thinking about helping a stranger.
