Chapter 95: Black Dream Bug | Family
"Teacher Qingshan…"
Lin Qingshan turned to Wang Weijie. "What's the matter?"
He had just left the Mangaverse company and had stopped by the Light Speed Game Development Company to "work."
At this point, *Cyberpunk 2077* was progressing smoothly. The initial stages were nearly complete, and the remaining tasks involved designing various missions and storylines.
Unlike the original *Cyberpunk 2077*, which took seven to eight years to develop, Light Speed didn't need to spend time designing settings, missions, and storylines, as Lin Qingshan could directly replicate these from his previous life's version of the game.
Now, he had become a technical consultant. He was only needed to resolve difficult technical issues and bugs. Routine bugs did not require his intervention.
"It's like this…" Wang Weijie said, "We've been unable to fix a certain bug."
"What bug?" Lin Qingshan followed Wang Weijie into the development department and asked.
"Teacher Qingshan!"
"Teacher Qingshan!"
…
The other members of the development team greeted Lin Qingshan with excitement upon his arrival.
"This…" Wang Weijie showed Lin Qingshan the issue. "In the prologue, V's cyber-eye gets shot out by Dexter, and then the screen goes completely black."
He looked a bit distressed. "It was supposed to continue with visuals, but it remains black. We tried fixing it, but now only the mission prompts and mini-map are visible. The subtitles are visible, but there's no picture."
Sure enough, the screen only displayed mission prompts, the mini-map, and subtitles, with the subtitles showing the mission name—Black Dream. Everything else was just a black screen with occasional flashes of light.
Lin Qingshan's eyes lit up. He waved his hand, "No need to fix this bug!"
"Ah?"
Wang Weijie was taken aback and hesitated before asking, "Isn't this bug a problem…? Players can't see the screen…"
"Don't you think this black screen bug actually represents V's perspective with the cyber-eye shot out perfectly? And the mission is called Black Dream, so a black screen fits the mission name quite well."
Lin Qingshan waved his hand again, "Let it be. When the game launches, players might actually praise this bug… I mean, the game design!"
"If you optimize this, it's like adding unnecessary details. Trust me, if it becomes a problem after launch, we can fix it then."
Wang Weijie hesitated but, seeing Lin Qingshan's determination, agreed, "Alright then."
"By the way, with the final episode of *Edgewalker* coming up, I plan to have a promotional demo for *Cyberpunk 2077*. You should be able to handle that, right?"
Lin Qingshan added.
"That's fine. Actually, the prologue is nearly complete, so we can use that for the demo without any issues," Wang Weijie nodded.
"Great!" Lin Qingshan gave a thumbs-up.

Meanwhile, at Magic City Polytechnic University.
A luxury car stopped outside the university gate, attracting the attention of many passersby.
Lin Pinzhang, dressed in a suit, got out of the car with the help of the driver and assistant, looking at the university campus.
"Dad, I can't believe you actually came…" Lin You'an said with some unease, looking at his father Lin Pinzhang.

His father, usually busy with work, had made a special trip, which showed how much he valued Lin Qingshan.
"You brat," Lin Pinzhang scowled and snorted, "He's your cousin! Blood is thicker than water! What did you say on the phone?"
Lin You'an opened his mouth but, bracing himself, said, "I think… Sister-in-law is right. Since Tang Ge has forgotten the past, it's actually a good thing for him. We shouldn't remind him of the past."
"Yintang is the only son your second uncle has left!" Lin Pinzhang said with a hint of sadness in his eyes but remained firm. "I can't let Yintang dwell on past bad memories, but as his elder, I have to take care of him! Otherwise, how can I face your second uncle and second aunt?"
This was his younger brother's only remaining bloodline in the world!
"You don't need to say more! I must see that young lady today!" Lin Pinzhang said resolutely. "Lead the way, or you won't get any pocket money this year! And don't expect anything from your mother either! This is my decision!"
Lin You'an felt the immense pressure from his father and had to comply.

Elsewhere, Gu Qianli had just finished class and was walking out of the classroom with her three roommates.
As she exited, she saw Lin You'an and… a middle-aged man who looked quite similar to Lin You'an, standing in front of her, seemingly waiting for her.
Lin You'an looked distressed, "Qianli… I couldn't help it. My dad insisted on meeting you."
"Miss Gu Qianli, right?" Lin Pinzhang looked at the beautiful Gu Qianli and nodded.
It seemed his nephew had good taste, though her academic background was a bit lacking. However, given the circumstances, academic and family background could be overlooked if Yintang liked her. As Yintang's only current relative, he could accept her.
"I came to see Yintang. Shall we discuss this in a private room at a nearby restaurant?" Lin Pinzhang suggested.
Gu Qianli was a bit nervous, biting her lip. After much hesitation, she agreed, "Alright."
"Zhihan, Guoguo, Zhiqiu, you all go back first. I have something to discuss with this… uncle," Gu Qianli said.
Her roommates nodded, "Okay, we'll head back."
Gu Qianli then left with Lin Pinzhang and Lin You'an, heading to a nearby upscale restaurant.
Lin Pinzhang immediately reserved a private room. Once inside, he…
"Miss Gu Qianli, I beg you," Lin Pinzhang bowed deeply to Gu Qianli, his voice earnest, "Let me meet Yintang!"
"Hey, hey, hey, uncle—!" Gu Qianli was startled and hurriedly tried to stop Lin Pinzhang from bowing.
"Yintang is the only child left of my younger brother. If anything were to happen to him, how could I face my brother and sister-in-law in the afterlife?"
Lin Pinzhang remained steadfast, with red eyes, "I won't get up until you agree!"
