Chapter 2: Beauty, Private Room, Test Firing

A beautiful woman coming over to strike up a conversation was a good thing. Su Sheng wasn't particularly on guard—there were few people in this world who could hurt him.

"How should I address you?"

After the woman sat down, she kept one hand resting on her small bag all the time.

To outsiders, it might have seemed normal, but Su Sheng was no ordinary man. His eyes, hidden beneath tousled hair, sharpened instantly, and he saw the contents of the bag.

A gun—the woman was carrying a gun, a type 92 semi-automatic police pistol.

"Utterly useless is..."

He wore a slight smile on his face. It was indeed interesting. If he hadn't guessed wrong, had he just encountered an undercover policewoman?

The woman tentatively asked, "Scholar?"

"Su from Su Xing, Su Sheng," he said, leaning back on the sofa, his gaze boldly scrutinizing.

This woman's figure was truly hot, her stomach smooth and fair. If it weren't for the gun, no one would have associated her with an undercover cop.

Shu Jie inwardly frowned. She had originally wanted to pick a quiet person to conceal her identity, but instead, she had run into a lecher. His gaze seemed like it wanted to strip her bare. For the sake of the mission, she had to endure it for now.

"My name is Shu Jie, nice to meet you."

She was forcing a smile, trying to act as if she were genuinely there to chat, but her peripheral vision couldn't help but observe the onlookers.

"Me too!"

Su Sheng immediately got the signal. Taking advantage of the moment the waiter brought drinks, he scanned the area and frowned secretly.

Had the public security become this bad? Over there, three men, and two were carrying distinctive daggers—clearly up to no good.

"Su Sheng, that's a rare name," Shu Jie started a conversation to make their table seem more normal.

He smiled. The name was the total opposite of his personality, given by his father, and it couldn't be changed.

Since this policewoman wanted to pretend, he would help her put on a bit more of a show. Consider it doing a good deed.

Right then, he picked up his glass, got up, and moved next to the beautiful woman, leaning in close with his mouth heading upwards. The woman instinctively wanted to dodge, but at that moment, Su Sheng whispered, "I'll tell you a secret, I have a great gun!"

A gun?

Shu Jie couldn't help but shiver, all sorts of thoughts flashing through her mind. Could it be that on her first undercover mission she had hit the jackpot, randomly picking a cover but ending up choosing one of the robbers?

Stay calm, Shu Jie, you have to stay calm. He doesn't know you're a cop yet.

Su Sheng whispered close to the policewoman's ear, yet his eyes were aimed at the table that truly had a gun. The three men had called over five girls, living it up, leading a much better life than his.

Of course, Shu Jie noticed Su Sheng's gaze, further confirming her guess—this man was one of the robbers. No wonder he sat here drinking sullenly alone, intentionally dressed down, invisible in the bar. It turned out he was the lookout for his robber accomplices.

"Gun, what gun, is this really okay?" While speaking, Shu Jie intentionally glanced at a sensitive spot on the man.

Su Sheng was immediately infuriated. Not again. To be deemed inadequate by two women in one day—did they really think he was a complete loser?

"Adequate or not, why don't you try and find out?"

Hand—Shu Jie suddenly sensed a rough, large hand wandering around her waist, and goosebumps arose.

But for the sake of the mission, she not only endured it but also cooed seductively, "Let's test it, I want to see your gun."

"What are we waiting for, let's go!"

Su Sheng downed the drink in his hand and, with the smell of alcohol on his breath, grabbed the policewoman and asked the waiter for a private room.

They were supposed to see a gun, right? He really had one.

This also fit perfectly with Shu Jie's plan. In her scenario, as long as she apprehended this accomplice first and confirmed the presence of the gun, she could immediately call for backup, or she could bravely tackle the situation alone and subdue all the suspicious robbers, proving to everyone in the department that she wasn't just a pretty face.

Indeed, Shu Jie was acting on her own tonight, and temporarily, there might not be any support on site.

Su Sheng, arm in arm with the policewoman, left their seats and followed the waiter to the private room. When they passed by the table with the actual gunman, Su Sheng suddenly raised his hand and pretended to fire two shots, making "pop pop" sounds with his mouth, instantly attracting the attention of the three men.

This also confirmed the policewoman's suspicions. She was right; this reckless man was indeed an accomplice of the suspect, someone the department had never noticed before—a significant discovery.

"Bro, is that kid crazy?" Huang Mao was taken aback when mockingly shot at. He was the one with the gun, even though he hadn't brought it out today.

The man called Bro, Scarface, laughed, "Haha, that guy just picked up a hot chick and is heading to a room, he's challenging us."

Another man, Iceberg, added, "That guy must be sick of living. But that chick is really something, caught my eye the moment she walked in, the prettiest here, and she ends up with a fool."

Huang Mao watched as Su Sheng and Shu Jie disappeared. Suddenly, he slammed the table and called out, "Bro, Fierce, you guys keep drinking, I'm gonna go check it out."

Scarface frowned, about to say not to complicate things, but then Iceberg said, "Bro, I'll go too, we can't let a fool get the better of us!"

"You two, always stirring things up. Fine, go together, have some fun with that fool," Scarface immediately dismissed a few bar girls, scanned the surroundings with his eyes, saw no anomalies, and decided to have some fun.

Click!

The door to the private room was locked from the inside, and before Su Sheng could react, the policewoman suddenly hugged him, her hands searching around his waist, even sliding into his pockets.

Something doesn't seem right here. Could he have misunderstood, and this woman was actually hitting on him, realizing he was different and couldn't control herself once the door closed?

"Hey, where's your gun?"

After searching for a while, Shu Jie ripped off the man's shirt, revealing a body with explosive strength, muscles and bronze skin scored with seven or eight scars.

This further confirmed her suspicions that this man, Su Sheng, was a criminal. But where was the gun hidden?

"Gun?"

Su Sheng hugged the woman back, but his hands didn't wander. His wife at home was Iceberg, but no matter what, he was a married man, and he couldn't be too forward in such situations.

"The gun is right here, haven't you felt it yet?"

Shu Jie instantly felt a chill, pushed the man away fiercely. She might have misunderstood something. A gun, my ass; this guy is a pervert.

"You, you're shameless!"

Shu Jie's chest heaved, she was utterly furious. She might really have been played, not good, her real target was still outside.

"Shameless, how am I shameless? You're the one who took off my clothes, I haven't even done anything yet," Su Sheng's face wore a light smile, almost there, the fish should be biting now.

Just as Shu Jie was about to draw her gun and subdue this shameless scoundrel, a sudden loud banging on the door erupted, accompanied by shouting.

What's going on?

Su Sheng moved fast, taking a step to pull the door open.

As expected, it was the people he had provocatively targeted. But to his surprise, three showed up at once, saving him some trouble!
