Chapter Two

The cool night air immediately enveloped them as the stepped out of the party venue. Aurora took a deep breath, feeling the tension around her shoulders gradually ease.

She had been ambivalent to leave with a complete stranger she knew nothing of, well that is except his name. But there was something about him that she couldn't quite place her hands on that just drew her in.

As they walked side by side, the city lights twinkling around them, Aurora felt a sense of security she hadn't experienced in a long time. They strolled in comfortable silence, the sound being that of the bustling city.

Felix broke the silence, his voice low and soothing. So, what do you do, Rora?

Aurora smiled, her eyes sparkling as she said, I'm an entrepreneur, you?

Ice skater, Felix replied, his eyes crinkling in the dim light.

That sounds exciting! Aurora's eyebrows rose.

Well, it sure is, Felix chuckled. So, tell me more about your entrepreneurial business.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly, like a gentle stream meandering through the night. They talked and talked, their words intertwining like the stars that seated right above them.

As they turned a corner, Aurora stumbled, her heel catching on a loose paving stone. Felix caught her elbow just in time his grip firm. Then she swayed with the passing air into his arms. She could feel the heat emitting from his body and her cheeks immediately flushed.

Realizing the awkward situation they were in, she pulled away. Urh, sorry, she muttered.

Felix laughed, his heart racing.

Hey you, who do you think you're laughing at, she jokingly said as she glared at him

With that, they continued their walk.
