CHAPTER 8

"Yes....yes...consider it done" the CMO said.

Alec nodded him and walked out with his assistant,while everyone bowed at him.

When he passed by Ryan he touched his shoulder and nodded at him as a form of greeting and left.

Ryan wasn't expecting Alec to act formal with him, especially now that he knows that Alec isn't someone to joke with.He thought Alec would pretend that he didn't know him but he can't say that he wasn't happy that Alec didn't act the way he thought.

The little interaction they had didn't go unnoticed by others.

Immediately Alec left,he was dragged by Ronda.

"What was that??" She asked shockingly.

Oh ..shit..Ryan thought.He knew he was done for.

"Do you know Sir Alec?" The CMO asked.

Ryan knew that if he didn't say anything they would keep pressing on.

"I'm not close to him,I've just met him a few times." He explained.

"Don't tell me he's the one that dropped you off this morning?" Thomas asked.

Ryan just laughed awkwardly and scratched him."I'm not close to him tho" He said.

The CMO looked at him deeply, before shooing everyone back to work.

"You've got less than five days to submit each of your project works to me...." The CMO said.."Everyone needs to be creative.....any project approved by Sir Alec will be the one we'd use for the season...now get to work."

Everyone went back to their office desk.

"It's going to be a long week" Ryan thought.

Everyone worked till 9:pm in the night,while stretching his neck Ryan looked at the time.

He checked his phone and saw a message sent by Noah.

"I'll be home late today, don't wait for me"

After reading it,Ryan looked up at the ceiling while stretching his neck.

Moans of pain were heard in the office space.

"My neck is sore" Thomas complained while sitting up.

Ronda stood up and started arranging her bag,.."I'm leaving" she said while walking out.

Soon after almost everyone was gone remaining only Ryan and Thomas.

10:30 pm Thomas stood up.

"Aren't you leaving?" He asked while packing up.

Ryan looked at his wrist watch then looked outside.... "I'll leave my 11,I still have a long way to go" he said.

"Alright....I'm leaving,see you tomorrow" Thomas said while leaving.

Ryan was the only one left in the office.

When it was 11pm, he stood up and arranged his things,turned of the office light then we went downstairs.He headed for the bus stop and quickly boarded the last bus for the day.

When he got home,he dropped his things while massaging his stiff neck.He entered the kitchen and prepared a light dinner and ate before going to take a shower.After he was done,he checked his messages then went to bed.

Noah didn't return home that night,Ryan woke up and prepared for work....while trying to lock the lock the door before leaving the house a car drove in.

It was Noah's car but instead his manager was the one who came out and worked towards Ryan.

"Noah didn't come with you?" Ryan asked while looking inside the car.

"No...I came to pick up a few things for him" Manager Great said.

Ryan nodded and headed out of the house.

Great turned and looked at him in a pitiful way then sighed before entering into the house to get some clothes for Noah.

Ryan headed for the bus stop when a car stopped in front of him,he didn't even notice because he was deep in thought.

He was jerked out of his thought by the horn of the car.

"Hey ...come in let me drop you off"Alec said.

Ryan looked at him and refused " No it's fine,I don't want to bother you"

Without waiting for Alec to say anything he started walking off.

Alec looked at him but didn't force him,then he drove away.

Ryan looked head and signed "I'm really foolish " he said while brushing his hair.

He boarded the bus and headed straight to work.Reaching the office,he brought out his office and began to work like everyone else.

Around 6 in the evening Kelvin came in with some snacks and coffee for everyone in Ryan's office.

"I heard you guys are pretty busy this week,and I was sure you wouldn't have anything to eat so I decided to get you all something" Kelvin said while passing the bag to Ronda.

"Ahhhh.... kelvin,you're a life saver...I love you" She said while fangirling.

"I know..." Kelvin said while smirking.

"If you weren't in a relationship I would have dated you" Ronda said while cleaning her fake tears.

"With the way you look??...ha ha...I wouldn't have spared you a glance." Kelvin said in a playful manner.

"Exactly what I said....tssh"Thomas said.

Ronda immediately removed her shoes and threw it on Thomas, while Kelvin caught the other one and threw it back to her,close to her feet.

"Jeez....I'm just joking ". Kelvin said.

"But I'm serious " Thomas said in a tiny voice.

" What did you say?..." Ronda turned and face Thomas.

"Nothing....nothing " Thomas said and quickly continued his work.

Everyone praised Kelvin for the snack and for being considerate.They started working while snacking.

Kelvin sat beside Ryan and passed him a bag.

" these are for you,come on stop working and eat them". He said.

Ryan collected it and thanked him before he started to eat.

"Were you aware that Alec was going to sign a contract with our company??" Ryan asked.

"Nope...Tay only said that they are launching a new product and they needed to work with a marketing agency to finalize it " Kelvin said while chewing.

"Oh..." Ryan said

"He is a big shot you know."

"Hmmmmmm...." Ryan nodded.

Kelvin and Ryan gisted for a little while before Kelvin headed for his department and Ryan continued his work.
