CHAPTER 2

While sleeping ,Ryan heard someone enters the room, he opened his eyes then looked at the time,it was 4:15.

After showering Noah creeps into the bed and covers himself with the duvet.

Facing the right side of Noah,Ryan bites his lip hardly while thinking if he should say something or not,He then turns to face Noah.

Noah has his right hand on his belly and his left hand under his head with his eyes closed,when he heard the movement besides him he opened his eyes and looked at Ryan

"You ain't asleep?" He asked

"I was but I woke up when I heard the door open",Ryan said

"Okay,go back to sleep"Noah said

Ryan looks at him deeply before turning back to his previous position.He thought Noah would tell him why he was late on their anniversary but it seems they'll talk about it in the morning.

Ryan got up early to prepare for work,when he was done showering and changing he went to the kitchen.He saw Noah standing in front of the fridge

"someone gave you a cake?"Noah asked

Ryan walked to the fridge and removed a bottle of water to drink,he opened it and drinks out of the bottle.

"I bought it yesterday."he said.

He looked at Noah, expecting him to catch on

"Okay"he said.

He walked to the dinning with a cup of coffee at hand and sat down in front of his laptop.

Ryan looked at him for period of time,he knew he had to ask Noah about last night but he didn't really want to be disappointed by the answer he gets but still he didn't want Noah to think it was okay to act the way he did.

"Yesterday was our anniversary,I cooked and waited for you to come back but you didn't" He quickly added," l'm not complaining or anything I just wanted you to know".

Lies..he was indeed complaining,he didn't like the fact that Noah does things without telling him,like he's a nobody.They've been together for 3 years,and he has never for once complained or acted irrational but he couldn't keep acting like everything was okay when it isn't.

"Oh..... sorry I was with the boys last night,I'll let you know anytime I will be home late" Noah said

That's it ..... that's really it???,Ryan couldn't help but tear up but he just nods and walks off.He took his office bag and left home,he stood and looked in front of the big apartment he shared with his boyfriend and signed,then he walked to the bus stop and boarded the bus.

The whole day at the office,Ryan was distracted.His friend who worked on the seventh floor came to see him.

Knock...knock....kelvin knocked on his desk

"Earth to Ryan"

he looked at him friend's sad face "what's wrong?I came to see you yesterday but you had already left"

"Oh, sorry I left early..I forgot to tell you"Ryan apologized.

"Did something happen?,you look down"

"Nah I'm fine,why are you here?" Ryan said and checks the time "it isn't time to leave yet"

Kelvin looks at him and signed "we're going for drinks tonight,my man's friend just arrived here and we want to welcome him,come with us okay?"

Ryan looks at him,he didn't want to go home either,he didn't have to heart to face Noah "Okay no problem"

"We'll pick you up by 6" Kelvin said in all smiles.Then he left.

By 6,Ryan stood in from of the company waiting for his friend.A Hyundai Grandeur stops in front of him,the front window was rolled down

" Chipper get in" Kelvin said

Ryan rolled him eyes and entered back seat of the car

"when will you stop calling me that?" He said.

"Even if you're old and grey,you're still my chipper" Kelvin said laughing.

Ryan lips twitched then he looked at the driver's seat where Tay, Kevin's boyfriend was laughing.

"Stop teasing him,he's all red now" Tay said while touching Kelvin's thigh.

Kelvin held his hand and kissed it " okay love"

Ryan quickly turned and look out the window.

They drove to a high class luxurious bar,Ryan stood and looked at the place in awe,Kelvin walks towards him

"it's newly built"

"I thought as much" Ryan said while looking around

" where's your friend?" He asked.

"He will be here soon,the others are inside let's go" Tay said.
