CHAPTER 10

Alec went silent for a while then he suddenly said "has anyone ever told you that you aren't good at lying?"

Ryan looked at him in disbelief but he didn't say anything.

Alec understood Ryan didn't want to talk about it so he didn't say anything till he got to Ryan's house.

"We are here" He said.

"Oh..." Ryan answered while looking at the house.

At the moment he didn't want to go in,he remained sitted while in deep thoughts.

Alec saw Ryan looking at the house ,it was as if he didn't want to go in so he didn't say anything and just sat there with Ryan in silence.

While in the house Noah who was waiting for Ryan heard a car sound and looked out the window,the car was tinted so he couldn't see who was in the car.But he noticed that the car looked similar to the one that dropped Ryan off a week ago,he waited for some minutes but no one was came out.

He decided to go out and check for himself.

Ryan saw Noah heading out of the house,he took a deep breath and opened the door,when he was about to come down Alec held his hand.

"Is something wrong?" This time Alec asked with pure concern,ever since they got to his house it was like he was reluctant to go into the house.

"No.. I'm fine" Ryan quickly removed his hand from his.He got down from the car and thanked Alec for bringing him home then he walked away without looking back, he walked past Noah without saying a thing to him.

Noah was surprised,he turned back to look at Ryan before looking at Alec in the car deeply then heading back into the house.

Alec looked at the two of them before driving away.

In the house Ryan headed to the kitchen to drink some water when Noah came in.They didn't say anything to each other for a while before Noah broke the silence.

"It's 1am,why were you with him?" He said.

Ryan looked at him without saying anything.

"Say something" Noah demanded

"You're really thick skinned" Ryan said to him.

"What!!" Noah said

Ryan has never insulted him "Say that again if you dare." Noah said

Ryan dropped the glass on the counter and walked towards Noah.

"For the past few days, you've been coming home anytime you liked...did I ever ask you who you were with?,do you even have the right to ask after what I witnessed today?"

Ryan stood in front of Noah looking at him deep in the eyes.

"You're an asshole...."Ryan said with red eyes.

Ryan wasn't one to say filthy words but he couldn't help it,he was really pissed off.

After saying that he tried walking off but Noah grabbed him by the neck tightly and pushed him again the wall

"Are you sleeping with him?" Noah said in anger.

"I'm not a whore like you.....let go of me" He said while trying to free himself from Noah's grip.

"You are definitely....." Noah was cut off before he could continue his statement.

"You're just trying to justify your actions by saying I am cheating on you,we both know I would never do that.I wish I could."

Noah suddenly bends and starting kissing him roughly,Ryan struggled hard and pushed him away.

"You disgust me..." Ryan said.

Noah laughed "are you sure about that?"

He moved closer to Ryan again and grabbed him by the waist tightly while Ryan resisted him.

"I know you've always wanted me to touch you,and now I disgust you?...you've always begged for my touch " Noah said mockingly.

Ryan felt so humiliated,he suddenly threw a punch at Noah.While Noah was dumbfounded,he quickly headed to the guest room amd locked the door.

"Open up right now .... open the f***ing door Ryan" Noah said while banging on the door.

Ryan knew Noah had a bad temper but he didn't know it was this bad,he hated the fact that he felt like a loser compared to Noah.

Why was he so soft,he hated it so much.He wished he could pay Noah for what he has done to him.

After series of knocks,Noah saw that Ryan didn't open the door.He decided to leave the house.

Ryan heard the sound of the car leaving and he was relieved,he waited a few minutes before leaving the room.After he finished bathing,he started working on the remaining part of his project.

When he was finally done it was 3:45 am,he had just two hours to sleep before getting ready for work.

While taking off his clothes in shower in the morning he noticed the dark bruises that has formed on his neck ,it was really a ugly sight.

He touched his neck softly,it seems he was going to wear a turtleneck today.

The meeting room was filled with silence as soon as the CMO walked in.They couldn't wait to hear the results of their hardwork.

"Going through each project ideas,I realized how creative you all are and I am pleased...but we have to choose only one out of the 10 I received."

Without beating around the bush he started calling names,each name he called,he handed their project work back till it remained only Ryan.

Almost Everyone looked at Ryan in surprise,they weren't pleased that a rookie's work was better than theirs but what could they do about it.

"Ryan.... your project is approved" The CMO.

Ryan was really happy that his project was approved,he quickly got up and took a bow

"Thank you for this opportunity sir" He said.

"Good...good." CMO said while tapping his shoulders.

"From now on you,Ronda and Thomas are to help the media department while they bring this master piece to light." He continued.

"Yes sir " They said in unison.

Soon after they left the meeting room.

"Congratulations Ryan.....I must say,after reading your project I was shocked,what is really in that brain of yours?" Thomas said praising Ryan while they walked out of the office building to eat.

"Exactly....dude you deserve it" Ronda continued.

"Thank you,it's nothing special" Ryan said.

"Please don't praise me that much."

"Okay okay...hope you know that not everyone are happy for you" Ronda said.

"Of course,it hurts when rookies like us are better than them..... they'll probably gossip about it " Thomas said.

"But who cares....not me....ahhhh" she sighed in relief " I need to treat myself to something good now that there are no serious work this few weeks"

"What will you be doing these few days Ryan?" She asked.

"Have you forgotten that we need to help the media department?" Ryan said.

"I know,but that won't be hard....it's just to assist not to work for them,so what will you be doing?" she said

"Well....I guess I'll just get enough sleep,I really need sleep,then I'll go see my parents after we're finally done with the whole thing " He said.

They went to a nearby restaurant to eat before heading back to work.
