Ronan felt the wound Matthew had caused, a sharp pain that quickly faded as his magic took over, healing him faster than any ordinary creature could.
The physical pain was nothing compared to the agony he felt as he watched his little mate curled up on the ground, blood seeping from her stomach.
Seeing Sophia like that, so pale and weak, hurt him in ways he couldn't describe. Yet, despite her condition, she still managed to smile, her hand gently stroking Matthew's snout as if trying to comfort him. She should have been the one needing comfort, not him!
