FIRST EDGE

As the sun neared the horizon Caspian finally found it. Amongst the graveyard of rubble, one stood out half buried in the sand, yet it rose higher than most with a flat surface at the top. That would serve their intentions of scoping quite sufficiently.

It had steps at the sides and a gap beneath for them to stay hidden from the sun.

Finally, they could get a break.

Soon all three of them were resting beneath the rubble. Almost simultaneously they all let out a sigh of relief as they watched the sun fall.

The once menacing sun had now reduced to a glowing red ornament that hung in the distance. Its rays were barely hot enough to reach them.

It was a gorgeous sight too, bathing the world in vermilion red. It would only get darker as the sun set until another sun would rise from the other end of the world.
