It was safe to assume that the quality of one's arsenal directly influenced power. At least Cass believed so.

The Orphanage had made sure they all did.

Of course, the quality of one's soul core had to be the most essential but Arsenals were a close second.

Most of the time it was a difficult task trying to express power without a weapon and even harder to possess a certain level of defence if the spells one knew weren't adept towards defence.

And even then there were qualities some armors and weapons possessed that were unique to them alone.

These were known as Skills and could be ranked from E to S. Just like the weapons themselves.

Skills were often unpredictable and hard to defend against mostly when dealing with abominations which made them a vital tool in battling the horrors that crept out of Events.
