I woke up, feeling pain in my back. I reached behind me and felt the bandage covering the wound. I remembered what happened. Puma had stabbed me.
But every time I thought about Puma’s face, it felt different. He looked terrified, and I couldn’t understand what he was afraid of.
“Tsk!” I stood up from the bed and grabbed a glass of water from the table. The door opened, and Mist entered, her face full of happiness.
“Are you okay?” she asked while checking me over. I noticed she was picking something up from beneath my bed.
“I’m fine… The wound just hurts a little,” I said, allowing her to help me lie back down on the clinic bed.
“Everyone was worried about you yesterday,” she said. I just nodded without saying anything, still thinking about Puma's behavior. I don’t know, but it felt like he wanted to say something, yet something was stopping him from speaking.
“Where’s Sunday?” I asked, and Mist’s expression immediately changed when she heard Sunday’s name.
