Chapter 19

"Mist!" I shouted as I ran quickly towards her, knowing without hesitation that Sunday would slice her if she caught up. I pulled Mist away from Sunday.

"Thank you," she said, struggling to speak. She couldn't handle the impact of Sunday’s punch and kick.

"Don’t thank me yet, the fight’s not over. Thank me if we’re both still alive when we get out of here," I replied, pulling her behind me to protect her from Sunday, who was grinning and pointing the katana at me.

She charged at me, so I grabbed the blanket from my bed and wrapped it around her arm to flip her, but she anticipated my move and remained standing when I tried to flip her.

I tightened my grip on the blanket. She slashed at me, and I blocked it with the blanket, but it tore in two.

"Hayumi’s blade is sharp!" She said, laughing, and I laughed at her foolishness. "What’s so funny, Pathetic Bitch?" she said angrily.
