Chapter 16- Say my name!

What Sophia could think of, he had already anticipated. She wasn't as meticulous as he was—always one step behind.

Fortunately, there was a robe hanging in the closet. Sophia grabbed it and slipped it on so she wouldn't be left exposed.

Just as she finished dressing, the doorbell rang unexpectedly. Without giving it much thought, Sophia started toward the door—but Capone grabbed her arm from behind.

He had just come out of the bathroom, still undressed except for a towel wrapped around his waist. His bare chest was damp, with droplets of water sliding down his skin.

"You don't even know who it is, and you're just going to open the door?" he chided softly, pulling her behind him and shielding her with his body. In his other hand, he held a gun.
