Damian's POV
I had never held a party in this mansion ever since I moved here with my family, and that is why I wanted to try it out this time. I sat at the edge with a flute of wine in my hands. And I watched everyone converse, and I waved back occasionally.
It wasn't all about me this night, truly, it wasn't; it was about them and everything but me. I was in my head, and if I must confess, I felt somewhat free without extra thoughts. Free enough to ask for everyone's attention when I stood up from the side of the room.
Free enough to hold a smile and wave to get more attention, free enough to require a spotlight and throw in a wider smile.
